LK+LP->Reverse DP->LP What I like about it is that it catchs back dash. Spire is infinitly unsafe on block though which I really hate. This “buff” of light spire is really frustrating.

There seems to be a 2-frame Window for comboing FA->U2. If you’re not comfortable with trying to time those 2 frames, I’ve found that FA->Back Dash, then Forward Dash->U2 seems to make the timing a lot more manageable.

It was just a safe jump. I guess you can say it was a safe jump jab since he pressed it on the way down. =/ But I suppose you can say it was a safe jump jab… on a safe jump like the one he did you can press pretty much anything on the way down I say that with a grain of salt. He wanted to bait out ex headbutt.
Well, I’ve taken a break from T. Hawk…and for the most part, the game as a whole. Its felt good to take a break from things. Watch some wrestling, play some other games, die of boredom at my gas station job.
I’ve been working it into my routine, but it’s easy to forget sometimes.
Chalk this one up to never happening to me before, but I safe-jumped a Cammy and connected with Super during the first frames of her DP. I had no idea that could happen. Any other characters fall to this sort of thing?
any special move that is in a throwable state you can do this as long as you dont try it during the actives frames so i believe you can do it to ryus dp and guiles flash kick but i may be wrong
Wrong. I ran into this a lot vs cammy. There is a specific point in her dp where she is still grounded and can be throw… The timing is so specific that it is almost unviable I’ve been looking a lot on international threads and its been chalked up as sf4 Being a shitty game engine. In theory it should work on other airborne <3 frame moves but it does not, only cammy. Maybe its something I her properties of her dp they changed? I don’t know but it only seems to happen and can only be replicated on cammy… Sent from my windows phone
Not sure if this is new, but if you catch an anti-air EX spire, you can easily juggle with EX dive for a nice 300 damage. I’m generally not really a fan of the EX spire into EX DP stuff, but in this case 300 for 2 bars isn’t too shabby.
Wrong. It’s not a Cammy thing. Akuma can be thrown out of his fp.DP, Honda has 1 or 2 frames he can be thrown out of ex.HB, I’ve seen ryu thrown out of his fp.DP in vanilla and I doubt they changed that. Again we are talking about 1 frame so it rarely happens. And I’ve only seen it work when using a 1f grab super or ultra. I’m sure it will “work” on many characters, but it’s not something you will be able to look for and try to do it. It’s gonna be flukey so don’t worry about it.
hard ball on block = U2, dash U1, slight walk forward sweep (standing block), ex spire (standing block).
ex rainbow roll = FABD U2, FAFD hp tomahawk.
I like U2 in this match more and more for the above reason…plus it reversals his U1 on black and blanka goes to the air and most of his specials make him airborne.
Sort of. I can beat mot Blankas and Vegas when I actually focus and do it but its just very meh… They are bad matchups because T.Hawk in design just cannot consistently beat the character. Vega beats T.hawk on frame data and hitbox data alone. Blanka just wins because of Hitbox data.
So about the safejump after lp spd: why the fuck does it seem totally random if i’m able to block or not? As it is now everyones just mashing when i knock them down because they know that it will most likely autocorrect and hit me out of the splash. I use lp after spd to make the timing perfect and I’m sure that i do it frame perfect. It seems to be especially bad against Sagat for some reason. He can just TU me out of the jumpin every time.
So i was in the lab yesterday and i noticed you can fuzzy guard t hawks f jumping fierce in to jumping jab and cancel jab into condor dive thinks its highly situational but would like to know what you guys think please not you can only fuzzy guard if you hit the f jumping fierce as late as possible.
