Mite wanna check juri and blanka too. But I think you’re rite.
chun li crouching
j.mk cr.jab st.jab lp dp
j.mp cr.jab st.jab lp dp
xup splash wait cr.jab st.jab lp dp
all work
timing for st.jab is kind of weird because of how she reels back. had trouble at first cancelling the st.jab.
cammy crouching
j.mk st.jab st. jab lp dp
splash (non crossup) cr.jab cl.lk lp dp
j.mp cr.jab st.jab lp dp works
all work
however you can see the splash hit visually, wait for the reelback link a st.mp then dp. its tough but you can see the splash hit. the hit stun on it is so retardedly long.
also i didnt test this on chun but im assuming it works because it works on cammy and is loads easier
instead of cr.jab st.jab lp dp, just do st.jab x2 xx lp dp. for some reason, i was having trouble cancelling the st.jab after cr.jab but it came out everytime with two st.jabs. its probably just me sucking for some reason but its something to note
ibuki - anything that works on cammy will work on her
xup splash st.jab/cr.jab st.jab lp dp DOES NOT WORK on cammy and ibuki crouching for some reason
find it weird that the xup combo doesnt work on cammy or ibuki but it works on chun. even weirder is how if you jump in with a splash that doesnt crossup, you can do st.jab x 2 lp dp
just tested blanka - all those combos work including crossup splash st.jab x 2 lp dp.
juri - same deal with the crossup splash combo. whiffs on her.
important - something i just found out (sorry im typing this all as im testing so im getting ideas as im typing) against juri/cammy/ibuki, if you hit them with xup splash, instead of doing just doing jabs into st.mk/cr.mk because the lp dp whiffs, wait a second to see the splash hit then do st.jab link cl.mp xx ex spire. that works and HURTS BAD. the only thing is you have to wait for that weird reel back from the crouching animation, otherwise youll get st.jab far st.mp
thats kind of a mess of a post but i was typing it all as i was testing so thoughts were just coming out and i was comin up with new things to try on the fly.
Does xup, s.mp, s.lp xx lp tb work on any of the smalls or is the pushback too far?
I just wanted to add something about the st. jab, st lk that is hopefully not something everyone already knows. If you space yourself correctly (close enough to where you still get the knee.) and delay the st. lk, you can whiff it but keep them in the block animation, and set yourself up for an U1/Super/360. Not incredibly useful but I think it can be worked in to mixups.
After a jump-in ive been using cl. lp, cl. mp, cr. mp.
Tested that on cammy only and the push back was much further than st.lp x2 so im assuming for all of them no.
I figure against those three that cant be hit with xup splash st.jab x 2 lp dp AND if you dont have meter, tick into 360 or instead just do xup splash wait, st.jab cl.mp lp spire.
I’ll test on Adon tomorrow, since from what I’ve seen he has a really small hitbox as well.
Adon is such a cunt…
i had some nice rewards trying to do standing close lp then close standg crouch lk xx into lp .
The best thing about this is that the have to block down and not standing and is less difficult to time the cancel ot hitconfirmng.
Only combos I couldn’t get to work on were c.LP, cl.LK combos. While crouching he can only be hit by s.MP at certain points in the animation, including while blocking
cl.MP connects fine if he’s while crouching though, so it turns out he isn’t an issue lol. If he hits Adon from the front with a medium jumping normal Hawk can land the cl.MP x2 LP DP combo for 330 damage or so.
The j.attack -> s.lp -> s.lk xx dp doesn’t work with cross-up splash. =|
^^ You might be doing it too fast. The reelback animations in this game are RETARDED. For example against crouching chun, do xup splash and then as soon as you land do st.jab st.mp. Youll get far mp. Next do xup splash and then wait for a second, THEN do st.jab st.mp. You’ll get cl.mp and can cancel into spire.
However, to be honest, I think that its something you have to do for all jump in attacks. Because the other night I was playing and whiffed a few dp’s doing jumpin st.jab x2 xx dp against ken and akuma.
Also jump strong is still godlike.
edit: tested xup splash on ken while standing. the trick is, you have to walk forward ever so slightly. its very tough to get it with xup splash when hes standing. if it hits him crouching its much easier. also doing the splash later than earlier helps immensely.
ideally after a splash though, to me, id rather be going for st.jab cl.mp xx spire (which is also easier to do if you hold forward while hitting the first jab) for ridiculous damage (327) and a dirty setup if you hold up forward after it (most people tech) or a tick into 360 / sweep for back dash / st.fp for jumpback. Jump in st.lp x2 xx lp dp i like doing off a j.mp since that move stuffs a lot. only problem is if you hit from like legit the max range, THEN the dp will whiff. otherwise its good.
has anyone found a use for using j.mk or j.lk? J.hk can be good sometimes to screw up anti airs (it whiffs pretty fast) and make dhalsim think about which button to press. J.mp / fp / splash are still my jumpins of choice 99% of the time.
I played you earlier today, Stewed Swineflu, hope my Hawk wasn’t too scrubby for you.
I have been messing around with using j.lk -> s.lp x 3 -> far s.lk. I dont really know why, I feel like its no better then using splash or every other jump in.
I LOVE j.mk. It has stupid range. Throw out a couple of these when jumping FB’s and pretty soon someone is going to try and DP that…so then don’t throw it out:) I use it when jumping back and someone jumps and follows…it’s hit’s up underneath them, so it can beat a lot of stuff.
Another useless find…If your opponent is in the corner, and you focus cancel a close mk, you can either hit with the focus attack and backdash or just FADC back and still be in range for a lp 360.

Sorry if this was known, I tried searching but I hadn’t seen anyone mention that T.Hawk could fuzzy guard before.
Good stuff. I pulled this off at the arcade last week and this dude was like “W T F”…
Yeah I know this was a “cool story bro”.
Splash os ex spire hurts bison on wake up. Either youll follow his teleport backwards (not sure about forwards, didnt seem to work out for him though) or youll go through ex scissors, ex PC, and under Ex devils reverse/stomp.
FADC forward can be used as an Ultra setup anywhere on the screen. Can also be done with close mp.
Example: Splash, cl.MP FADC Ultra
It won’t work against scrubs that mash out DP, but it might work against a thinking opponent and catch them by surprise.
Yeah, I assumed that, but that was an example of where you could use backdash from a FADC and still be in range for a lp 360
