So I bit on the $140 NewEgg deal last week. I got it home and, just my luck, it’s DOA. It’s constantly pressing “up”, can’t make it past “press any key” screens, or navigate menus. I’ve done a little research, but I wanted to ask you guys before I either try NE’s replacement policy or break out my soldering iron. What should I do? HELP!
UPDATE:did some more Google sleuthing and figured out I could just break the diode off rather than soldering this tiny thing. Such an awesome thing when a fix ends up being straightforward and WORKS!!!
