Switch Arcade stick buttons

Dear people of SRK,

I have a Question, being a very casual gamer myself i wanted to play SF4,

Now i bought an Datel Arcade Stick,

And i was thinking about replacing the buttons and stick myself, because i saw the buttons were fairly cheap.

but the question is, is it possible just to buy some new Sanwa buttons screw open your ArcadeStick and just replace em’ just like that?

Thx in advance

Yes. You just open up one of the panels of the arcade stick, most are back panels, but some are front. They’re usually 6 or so screws that hold it in place. Open them up, gently pry off the connectors on the buttons using either your finger, screwdrivers, or mini needle-nose pliers. Then you just push in the plastic tabs on either sides of the button and pop them out one at a time. Replace in reverse order.

Don’t know if Datel sticks are soldered or if it uses .110 terminals. Best open it up and post a picture. Button holes might also be smaller size.

Isn’t the Datel the same thing as the Mayflash? If so, then it will require modding the case, widening the holes, dremmeling stuff off to fit the stick in there, and so on.

Datel stick requires some intermediate level modding to fit Sanwas.

So what about with a MadCatz TE stick? Two of my “black” buttons of the SF4 TE stick are not reliably responding…so I would like to swap those two buttons with the two “white” buttons since i never use them. Would this be an effective solution to my button response problem? and if so does it require any specialized equipment?

Just an allen wrench to open the top. The buttons are connected with quick disconnects, so no soldering required.

Thanks, but in doing so will I remedy the problem of poor response. Do only need to move buttons around or will I also need to switch any connections? Thanks again
