As importing games can get expensive pretty quickly I need to know if the following games work with swap magic 3.6:
ESP Galuda
Samurai Spirits: Tenkaichi Kenkakuten
NeoGeo Battle Coliseum
Please only post if you know for sure. Thank you:wink:

Tenka and NGBC works just fine, but I’m not sure about ESP Galuda.
mushihime sama worked so I don’t see why espgaluda wont. Good luck finding it though.
ESPGaluda works fine with it. So do Ibara and Dodonpachi Daioujou, which you should also look into if you haven’t yet.
Forget swapmagic. Best import method is: PS2 Harddrive+HDAdvance 3.0
Works with those games BTW. I wish SS tenka had an english option:confused:
HD Advance 3.0 will not work for me using GG Slash, so I’m planning on adding swap magic to my PS2.
Use HD Loader instead. Mine works fine.
I just went ahead and bought a NTSC/J PS2.
The hell? Must be your PS2 unit then. Because my HDAdvance plays GG slash perfectly fine, as well as SS tenka.
Its telling me that I don’t have a playstation 2 format disk when I try to convert it to the hard drive.
The ONLY game i consistently had that problem with was guilty gear X(X2, and Slash were FINE).
Have you tried converting it over by use of PC-to-network cable?
I suspect maybe its just something about the physical disc that the unit does not like. If had a network cable to link to my Pc and a bit of knowledge, i’d try to transfer it over that way(don’t have modem ethernet cable though).
Hm… I’ve never heard of doing it that way. Do you need an ISO file or something? Also the only computers I have right now run Mac OS, so I thats probably not an option for me anyway.
Damn, I’m retarded. Look:
Converting your own legal *Backup Disc/Import Game Disc
Please follow the steps below so as to convert backup disc / import game disc to PS2 HDD.
Boot your console with HDAdvance. Using the CD version for CD backups/imports and the DVD version for DVD backups/imports.
Choose ?Convert? in the ?Option? menu.
When the system asks for the game disc, please use the Slide Tool or Flip Top Cover to exchange the backup/import with the HDAdvance Disc.
Press ?X? when you are finished.
Anyone have a slide tool I can borrow, or know where I can buy just the tool, or how to make one?
What my problem was is that I didn’t read the site’s tutorial on imports. My copy did not include a slide tool, but I do have the CD.
I don’t know how to do it as I’ve not tried it myself. But HDAdvance is also supposed to be able to transfer stuff directly from the PC, to the PS2 HDD. I saw instructions on this when i got my HDadvance discs and briefly flipped through the manual.
Since i don’t own a network cable to try it myself, and the normal Ps2 disc drive method works fine for me, i have not done it myself.
Though it might be the better and more importantly FASTER option. PS2 disc drive is kinda slow for converting, a PC to HDD transfer would probabley be alot faster. And no wear&tear on the PS2 drive that way.
download WinHIIP. (do a google search) You can plug your ps2 hard drive into your computer as a slave and it will recognize it. You can then put your PS2 game into your DVD drive and rip it right to your PS2 hard drive. This is how I load all my games. Easier on your PS2 laser, as well (or so I’ve heard).
