Hey guys. First of all, congratulations for this magnificant forum, is nice to finaly see a serious forum about Street Fighter 4.
So, my first post here is a little weird. I downloaded this great T.Hawx skin (great job!), and it’s for Zangief. But i want to put this T Hawk Skin in Abel, so i can maintain all Street Fighter 2 Characters (because i will change the HUD too). So, there is a way to do this? I already tried to rename (the coz and cmz file) but that make the game crash.
I know a little about modding, so, all i need is the first step, so i can know how to swap the skin between characters.
I intend to swap:
Abel>Hawx
El Fuerte>Dee Jay
Viper> Rainbow Mikka (didn’t find the skin yet though)
Rufus>Sodon
Gen>Guy

I think in the PC version you can just swap clothes on a similar character. I think what you’re doing is downloading a new outfit for T.Hawk and trying to put it on other players. I think only T.Hawk can wear that outfit, and so far I have only seen clothing that fits over a model as skins. I was just using it to make all the characters naked, however I could only find nudie patches for individual female characters and not one download for the whole group, and it seems like putting a transparent texture on all the clothes would be really easy, and making them anatomically correct wouldn’t be excessively necessary, and would probably be a lot more tricky since that isn’t rendered in the game code but the other parts and clothes already are. Anyways you can’t just swap out the characters, the moves wouldn’t work, and also if they don’t look really similar the gameplay doesn’t align properly with the moves and hitboxes. Also I think the clothes don’t count for hit boxes/hitting/collisions, which is why you can swap the clothing out without changing anything else in the game.
Also if you want to see how fighters usually dress, here’s a great UFC highlights clip I found on youtube randomly, they typically don’t wear much except tight short shorts while doing street-fighter like activities, in case you aren’t already familiar with UFC and/or MMA.

What i want to do is the following:
There is no T.Hawk in Sf4 for PC, só i downloaded his Skin and costume (mashes, bones and textures) and put on Zangief (Because T Hawk skin was made for Zang), what i want to do is take this t hawk skin (that i downloaded) for zangief and put on Abel (the skin), but that makes the game crashes (if i just rename it). There is a tool that convert the t hawk skin for zang to Abel? Or there is a way?
Please help me :amazed:
EDIT: Ah, now i understand what you meant. But, there is no way to convert the meshes of THawk skin made for zangief and put in Abel?
Oh yeah, I get what you’re saying. You want to replace the characters with other characters. I got the multiplayer character replacer from streetfighter4characterreplacer.com and swapped out dhalsim with chuck norris, that’s how I got to be #7,000 on the ranking ladder.
