Svc chaos? what is the cheapest tactic?

for all of you who have mastered and left this game out of sheer brokeness, share the secrets?

who’s the top tier?

what’s the cheapest tactic?

thanks

I think Top tiers were Geese, Zero, Chunli.

Their cheapest tactic was their infinits. And even without them their pretty tough.

I’ve read from other threads that their infints are removed from the PS2 and X-box though.

Zero:
QCF+A to pester them. cD at max range to pester. If they ever, EVER jump, superjump and aerial DP them. Land, repeat sj into the DP. OMG you did the infinite. They go dizzy in the corner, summon the mine over them, they get up, mine blows them up, superjump into the infinite. Skills.
Your defense is pretty much infiniting them if they ever jump. And shooting and poking them safely if they stay on the ground. Though if you’re getting rushed down, you can CD counter to get a full guard meter again. Or GCFS > throw, of course. And Zero’s throw happens to lead to death by crossup into metool transform into super…

Geese infinite is something like c.C into f.B (or D, whichever the push kick is), repeat ad nauseum. It’s tricky to get the timing and I might be wrong about the positioning, but I’m fairly certain it’s something like that.

s.C > twd+D, [dash s.C > twd+D]x till Max mode. Then rape them with some sick combo. ggpo.

I personally think that V. Ken, Takuma/Mr. Karate, and Terry are the best.

IT’S About time Capcom thought of making an Evil Ken! What took them so long?!?!?!

capcom didn’t make this game. probably one of the reasons it blows so much, imo

More like Zero and Geese are the god tier.
Then Chun-li.
Then Goenitz, Guile, Demitri, Tessa… the other broken characters.

And then the rest can fight amongst themselves. I guess Terry would be among the best if you ban the secret characters… but then it’d just be Chun, Guile, and Tessa…

Anybody know how the Tessa unblockable crossup crap works?

then u suck. chun, geese, zero, guile are the undisputed top tier. And capcom would never make a game as shitty as this.

Guile and Sagat have the cheapest(and oldest) tactics…):lame:

Guile:
Sonic Boom you to death(always at mid-screen distance) until you jump in then it’s Flash Kick or Super.

Sagat:
Mixing up high and low Tiger Shots and using the Tiger Uppercut when you jump in on him(typical Shoto-scrub tactic).

I am a zero player my self. I luv his mind game strategy. Send a worker soldier > when they jump to the super blaster!!!

Still waiting for them to add K’ to one of these dream match games!!!

As far as a versus match Kim can be pretty cheap and I for one am guilty for it by using his infinite.

And I also in agreement with plaer_dos about a debut of K’ in a SvC game.

yahh we neee to see more players playing svc. Alot of my friends say it isn’t good…but i say it is.

than u can suck a dick SNK hater best characters are

Geese Howard
Zero
Demitri
Iori Yagami
Goenitz
Dan is actually supposed to be good in this but not great
Mr. Karate

Zero is supposed to be top. Goenitz, Dan, and Mr. Karate are not up there. Demitri isn’t that good. Where’s Chun? Where’s Guile? Where’s Tessa? Where I say!

Zero IS THE TOP character of the game. Geese is 2nd top.

Tessa IS THE 3rd top and is my favorite character. Tessa has GREAT keep-away tactics that could run the clock down and CAN hold her own against Zero and Geese.

Tessa’s un-blockable glitch is: Do one of her knockdown moves that’ll leave her opponents on the ground for a while then, do her ghost(f,qcf+LK or HK) then, as soon as you’ve released the ghost, dash forward and super-jump and while you’re in the air OVER THE GHOST, do her dove(d+HK) and you’ll be on the other side of your opponent. This messes with the block box detection and makes the ghost un-blockable for some strange reason.

Tessa has a NASTY combo that I can only seem to get on the larger characters that’ll take you down 'bout a little over half your life bar in MAX mode: Jump in deep with HK, standing HK, cancel into her command-grab(hcb+LP or HP), after this do her un-blockable. After the un-blockable is enabled, IMMEDIATELY do her standing HP, cancel into standing forward+HP, cancel into her Super Ice(qcf, qcf+HP) then, after she let’s her hand down then, IMMEDIATELY do her Time Bomb Super(hcb, hcb+LK or HK). This combo does INSANE damage. While all of this is happening, the ghost, the Ice Super, and the 1st part of her Time Bomb Super will all be hitting you.

She also has a 100% touch of death combo that involves her EXCEED: Do all of the above on what I said except, do not perform her 2 supers. Instead, after her standing forward+HP, cancel it into her EXCEED. And as soon as shes done with HER animation during her EXCEED, IMMEDIATELY do her Time Bomb Super. Your opponent will fall right on top of her Time Bomb Super.

Tessa is a 3rd top ONLY 'cause of her un-blockable ghost glitch. Though, she still is a great keep-away character.

the best character is choi if you learn to use his spead

Tessa sucks!

The best character is snk for getting people to buy this rubbish in the first place

The PS2 import version is actually a bit more playable then the arcade mainly because they did took out the infinites yet it’s still possible to do infinite combos while during Max.

Tessa is still very evil because most of her stuff that made her very good are also in the PS2 version. ChunLi is still the female beast that she was so hardly any change against her. The last thing that Playmore did was every boss was available from the start with the exception of Athena and Red Arrmor which have to be unlocked through beating them on survival mode (easy).

The big difference when using both Shin Akuma and Shin Mr.Karate is that you will be doing a bit less damage then the AI was doing against you yet their move priorities are still the same. Also Shin Mr.Karate may be quite a powerhouse but the price for having such powerful moves is the lack of two-one combos such as doing any normal move into special move.

That is basically it for the gameplay. The graphics do look slightly better on the PS2 since there is actually fireball animations but nothing to be impressed about.
