is he doing a shoryuken or just a regular win pose? i’m leaning toward win pose…
def agree with fist. and anyone who can pull off simple colors is awesome in my book. it’s good that you tried to do something else other than the usual fade or straight up stop at the bottom, but the b/w one looks too cut out and the colored version with the weird blobs of color is a tad odd. doesn’t quite go with the rest of the feel of the colored one ya know? but props for lookin for something out of the ordinary. the comic feel of the b/w is great. but like i said it looks too cut out which takes away from the presentation. also i think you coulda done with much less black in the bottom left corner. draws a lot of attention away from the face and, ultimately, the raised hand, as well as weighs the whole comp down, like you’re pulling on that end or something.
sorry for the long crit… esp if it turns you off. but i hope you find it helpful ^^; but i must say i like what i see.
haha on a side note i just realized it also looks like ken’s doing mak’s uppercut. good stuff.

Hot hot tonework. Pay attention to how ppl crit your anatomy, but you have Black and White composition (art of spotting your blacks/hilights) down to a science my friend.
pick up a brush and you’ll be amazed at what you can do with big strokes of ink over a pencil sketch.
