Who are you to label someone as consenting? Some countries view 16 year olds as adults, and some 16 year olds are more mature than an adult. You have to clarify/justify restrictions on lifestyles/preferences before promoting this one. Lets be real here. For example, the word “bigot” is used against a person who is unsupportive of homosexuality… how is that bigotry if the issue isn’t the person but the lifestyle? Next, why use “marriage” anyway, we all know that is strictly a religious term/ceremony. I’m not a theist or anything like that… but If people want separation from church and state then make sure the state keeps it’s distance away from religion just as religion should be keeping it’s distance. Incorrect. You don’t need a ceremony. You go to a courthouse, sign some documents, done. You are married. No religion or ceremony required. And no they couldn’t just “Make their own ceremony”. Lot of companies and shit wouldn’t view a gay marriage as official by the state.
