I’m glad to hear about the ruling. I wasn’t expecting the Supreme Court to actually decide the issue. As per the Roberts dissent, I thought the issue was going to have to slowly work its way through the state courts. (Which was already happening) Still, it’s a good thing and I’m not complaining it happened earlier.
I am concerned about how certain portions of the South (plus others) will take the ruling. Especially so with all the Confederate flag controversy going on at the same time. A lot of deep seated issues still exist over race and federal powers superseding state ones. Despite having been 150 some years since the Civil War a lot hasn’t really changed and a lot of the same grievances still exist for many. The groups already calling for a Civil War 2.0 are concerning as hell. Especially if they draw in young men and women who are overly impressionable.
TLDR; I hope things stay peaceful and peeps don’t start doing stupid shit.
About damn time my country finally fully legalized gay marriage. Honestly, this should have been legalized years ago. Well, as they say, better late than never.

Congrats to America on this! And Mexico went through with it too on the same day I think so thats pretty cool. I also read that the US goverment is requiring federal employees health insurers to offer transition related costs for transgender employees so id say this is a pretty big win for the LGBT community
