I mean, yes, it does kind of feel like they pigeonholed the Trickster into his role and that they are trivializing all the monsters of the pastincluding demonsfor this angelic war, but the way the twist is written makes a lot of sense. Remember that one episode in season 3, where the Trickster keeps killing Dean and then tells Sam that there is nothing he can do and that he should accept it? I’ve always wondered why some random monster would care so much, but now it completely makes sense.
i would assume when they wrote season 3, they already had the angel arc ready to fit in. the twist is cool though. okay, so the angels wanted to release lucifer all along, but still yell at sam because he did it, which seems stupid. they wanted to start the end of the world just to destroy 1 rebellious angel and a few of his followers. for what? lol. really, this whole angel, heaven, hell, shit is poorly written and played out. i guess thats what happens when you try to bring logic and rational into this whole somewhat bible arc theyre doing, but it could have been done better.
but maybe im jumping the gun, and all things will be revealed soon. i dont understand the angels position. oh wait, they never know where sam and dean are, thats why they dont stop them from getting harmed in the past few episodes. right on. cant they track special angel that helps out sam and dean. i forgot his name. castiel i think. i dont think the angels limitations were explained well. why arent they just trying to stop lucifer themselves? they cant track him, or his goons? they all know that sam and dean go where the weird is. just setup a bunch of weird traps, sam and dean will investigate like normal, and boom, found ya, cant run now.
wait wait wait. if the trickster can find them whenever he wants, why cant the other angels. oh god, jimmy, your ruining the show for yourself.
edit. lucifer isnt even at full power now. why dont the angels just strike as a team at once. whatevs
I think Castiel invoked the thing that hides Sam and Dean from angels on himself as well, and it would make sense that Gabriel did something similar to himself, as well. Also, don’t forget that the demon spawn can also hide himself from everyone and do whatever he feels like. The trickster only finds Sam and Dean through other means (in the show, he says he heard they were in town), so I don’t think him being who he is helps him find them at all.
In terms of the angels’ motivation, I think they have beef with humanity. They can’t just outright defy God and take out His favorite children, though, so they’re looking for Lucifer to purge humanity from the planet, and then they plan to “punish” him for doing their bidding.
haha, nice…that writer is definitely going to get Super Fangirl babe now. She was clearly MOIST from his heroic actions just now. Y’know, she’s actually surprisingly cute in a geeky way…yeah, I’d hit…repeatedly.
heads up to fans who may not be aware—one of the classic Supernatural Sexpots is now “Ella” on the new Melrose Place…looking absolutely delicious in every damn episode. It’s worth checking out, at least to see her again. Goddamn this girl is niiiice: [media=youtube]XLkxfwbfO90[/media] That’s The Katie Cassidy Show as far as I’m concerned.
I’m just going off of Tv.com that doesn’t list any episodes beyond next weeks’ and it’s description talks about
next week
[details=Spoiler] the final showdown.
“Sam, Dean, and Castiel find the Colt and go after Lucifer. The hunters reunite with Bobby to battle evil that could be potentially their last fight.”[/details]
I was wondering how something man made could kill anything supernatural.
Next weeks episode looks weak if it’s what I’m thinking. I really hope it’s not a copy of what they did in buffy where she was actually crazy making everything up. They seem to do that in a lot of shows like that.
[details=Spoiler] … on the writing staff has issues with women.
I mean aside from this episode starting with some man on demon man kissing, not a single female got out of it unscathed.
Jo who finally started looking not so much like jail bait, comes in and bleeds to death for half of the episode.
Her mom has sit there and watch before kamikazing a bunch of invisible hell hounds.
Every woman and child in the town got slaughtered before the heroes even arrived.
And Cass uses Meg as a bridge to escape the ring of fire.
Granted that last part was hilarious and I actually kind of want a av of it, but still seems like someone behind the scenes has some shit they need to work out. And with Donna and Jo dead, the only female recurring female character left alive is now Meg.
Oh and Lucifer unleashed the Angel of Death on the world and the guys entire plan was an absolute failure as Lucifer shrugs off a head shot from the Colt. But seriously, gritty and realistic but I hope they use less female death like one an episode when the show comes back in January. [/details]
Honestly, after this episode I could use a break from Supernatural.
Edit: @infrequent lurker simply put [spoiler= whatever], type what you want to say and then close it off a [/spoiler. Make sure to close it properly.
