Great freaking episode!!! I thought it was just gonna be filler, but turned out to have a really good twist.
And Sam was the bitch in this episode, hands down.

Hmmm…possibly?
bitch made
[details=Spoiler]Sam was made the bitch in most of those scenes by Gabriel because he was the one who let lucifer free?
I mean he got slapped, bopped in the nuts, turned into a car, didn’t bag the hot chick in the bathroom…and got teh genital herpes.
But then again…Dean got shot.
I mean the questions asked on the Japanese gameshow looked to imply that…[/details]
Oh…and the opening credits were epic.
This still doesn’t change Trickster’s tiering.
Trickster
But now I wonder how powerful real tricksters are (or if they even exist), since Sam and Dean mention that they’re supposed to be like gods.
i enjoyed the plot twist as well. Should be interesting to see where they go with it from here.
Trickster
They’re demis so I would bet they’re weaker than gabriel. Especially since Cas said they weren’t supposed to be that strong right before he got shut.
You know what’s really crazy about all this, though?
Crazy
[details=Spoiler]We’ve already seen how ridiculously powerful Raphael (he just blew up Castiel, no problem) and Gabriel (he can do anything, aside from escaping that angel trap thing) are, and Michael and Lucifer are supposed to be so much more powerful than either of them.
I wonder if each archangel just has a different set of ultra powers, aside from their normal angel powers, like super strength and invulnerability. Of the ones we’ve seen so far, it looks to be something like this:
Gabriel: Reality/time/space manipulation (and he’s also the only angel with a human-like personality).
Raphael: Blows shit up.
Lucifer: Empathy/thought manipulation.[/details]
I’m pretty sure Gabriel is using a host just like all the other angels/demons, for probably hundreds if not thousands of years.
lol luifer thats not even a power…thats just being a good motivator. unless its sumkind unknown…i can speak to the dark parts of humanity thing.
im still convinced gabriel just disquised himself as a tricker or the trickster they know. because castiel said he shouldnt be this powerful…making it sound like the angels are aware of trickster. and dont u think they’d notice gabriel was missing before shit went down.
i cant see him being that good at downplaying his powers, since it seems the angels have been aware of sam and dean for a long ass time. even ignoring the fact their supposedly destined for the end of days shit from birth.
^ shows good, but dont try to analyze it. its just another poorly written sitcom about the paranormal.
lol your in the wrong thread if u think it wont be analyzed.
true dat. everything is just so shitty nowadays, it just pains me to even analyze it at all. manga, tv shows, movies, life, ect… argh!
No. He pretty much says that that “trickster” has always been Gabriel; they lay it out pretty clearly that that’s the case.
And if even Castiel can use that spell that makes him, Sam, and Dean invisible to other angels, I’m sure Gabriel is more than capable of the same thing.
From what he was saying it seemed like he left a long time ago, not just to do this.
Anyone know what kind of phone Dean is using now?
Beatrice Ilg, that is all.
This thread is one big tease for me. I can’t wait till Black Friday to pick up season 4 for cheap. I still haven’t seen it beyond Dean meeting Castiel for the first time. I do read the spoilers but none of them make too much sense so it’s all good.
Holy friggin’ crap. That trickster episode was HILARIOUS.
Trickster Episode
[details=Spoiler]That episode had way too many funny moments. Sam as Knight Rider? Sam being forced to do a genital herpes commercial? Dean and his penchant for Dr. Sexy soaps?
I’m not a fan of the Trickster being Gabriel, though. . .it seems like the whole thing was pigeonholed to fit the angels vs. demons arc at the last minute. Although they managed to do a good job in making it relevant, with the whole Michael vs. Lucifer/Dean vs. Sam parallel.[/details]
Season 4 and 5 Mythos
[details=Spoiler]
Yeah, the show is going from American Gods to Good Omens. Not necessarily a bad thing, but there’s definitely something lost with almost every episode using biblical myth for its hook.[/details]
^^^
well it is the apocolypse lol.
would he prefer we used ragnarok? come on thor!!! whoop his ass lol.
Oh wow… I’ve been thinking the exact same thing. Good books btw.
