"Supernatural" on the CW - Thank you for the 15 seasons

Dean as a dodgeball coach was hilarious. Fat boy got owned.

This ep reminded me alot of the Supernatural Origins comic book, where Sam and Dean was basically alone while their dad was running around offing baddies. Pretty good, but I’m hoping we get back to the main plot next ep.

nah it makes sense…it means their popping blood vessels on concentrating that hard using the head. well at least i find it logical.

I think supernatural got a censorship order… The opening scene was significantly less violent and we couldnt even see the bludgeoning of the mom.

i doubt it…sometimes its just a creativty thing and less about censorship. remember the director died too…who knows maybe that director was extra violent happy.

Funny, I was wondering WHEN they would get a censorship order. I mean this ain’t cable TV, they showed a good amount of blood splatter along with the wife getting the first strike and some of the shadows of successive strikes. Not to mention they showed naked Siren nipples chest… I could have done without that.

I mean Dean sharing a flask another guy, unsanitary but understandable, but the whole scene in the hotel, from Sam getting spit in and around his mouth to the emotional ‘discussion’, it just seemed well to quote the “No Homo” thread, Full Homo.

But that doctor Cara was hot and I wouldn’t have been mad at Sam if she was the Siren.

I really didn’t expect the ending that came on last night’s episode. But I suppose it was inevitable. The siren found Sam’s & Dean’s biggest weaknesses. They each have some distrust towards each other & got them to reveal it. They’ve worked so much with each other, yet still don’t trust each other except to a certain point.

Bobby was right. Sirens are incredibly nasty!!!

Thank goodness, Bobby came to the rescue when he did.

Good twist, I thought that Nick would of got killed but they fooled me. That doctor was pretty hot, YOU GO SAM!!! lol

With the amount of scantley clad women in the ep i would call the episode homo at all.

CW Signals Its Sticking Around by Renewing 6 Series

In the clearest sign yet that The CW will live to fight another season, the network has given early renewals to a half-dozen existing series, including Superman drama Smallville.

The CW President Dawn Ostroff began telephoning executives at Warner Bros. Television and CBS Paramount Network Television about the decision Tuesday morning. The network could announce the news as early as this afternoon.

In addition to Smallville, the series renewed for next season are Gossip Girl, 90210, Americas Next Top Model (cycles 13 and 14), One Tree Hill and Supernatural. While the solid ratings for all six shows made pickups likely, the renewals were not all foregone conclusions.

In the case of Smallville, producer Warner Bros. Television had been negotiating with series star Tom Welling to return. The CWs renewal indicates the studio was successful in those conversations.

There also had been a question of whether The CW itself would survive for another season. In recent months, however, its become increasingly clear that the network has moved to more solid ground.

The network has had a decent 2008-09 season, with the successful launch of 90210 and the strong pairing of Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill on Monday nights. All three shows have posted double-digit Nielsen gains compared to their timeslot averages last season.

The CW also has had success building its brand as a destination for young female viewers.

With six tentpole series renewed for next season, there arent that many holes in The CWs 2009-10 schedule left to be filled. Whats more, two projects currently in developmenta reimagination of Melrose Place and the Gossip Girl prequel Lilyare very likely to land series orders for next season, making it even more difficult for new shows to get on the air.

Nonetheless, The CW has an active development slate beyond Melrose and Lily. Two buzzworthy projects in the works include Vampire Diaries and Light Years. The CW also just picked up drama The Beautiful Life.

Shows on the bubble at The CW include Reaper, Privileged, The Game and Everybody Hates Chris. The latter series, which has already filmed enough episodes for syndication, is considered a long shot to return.

Its also unclear what direction The CW will move on Friday and Sunday nights next fall, although both nights could provide logical homes for new programming. Its unlikely, however, that The CW will program a full night of first-run scripted fare on Sundays.

I am actually sad they are bringing back Smallsville, this season has been decent enough that it would have ended on a very good note. If they give it another season, I just can’t help but feel they are stretching things.
