"Supernatural" on the CW - Thank you for the 15 seasons

I was also hoping for a ghost-girl like The Ring, but I guess that would’ve been way too “cliche-japanese-horror” at this point. It was disappointing to me, and it was too much of a break from the main story…outside of Dean having a minor dialogue with Sam about Hell again. Unless it’s hilariously excellent stuff like that episode with the guy who morphed into classic movie monsters, I prefer episodes that move the main story along at least a little bit…perhaps similar to how a lot of anime fans out there cannot stand most “filler” episodes.

Bella died right? I forgot…but whoah that was a serious piece of ass right there. I need to look her up again…heh, I need to keep tabs on that actress…

Yeah she died. Who knows, maybe she’ll pop up again as an agent of Hell or something. Here’s hoping…

I didn’t like this week’s episode either. It was something like “The Ring”. So it was a big letdown for me. This season has gotten better with the idea of the Winchesters trying to prevent the apocalypse from ever happening. And they need the help of angels as well as demons to do it.

Whoever is doing the writing, they definitely are getting their ideas from a lot of reading & research (i.e. the Bible, the Qu’ran & even the Torah).

I just started watching this show like 3 episodes back. My brother has watched it from the beginning and he seemed really entralled watching it so i watched it with him, and i was impressed. But, the new episode let me down, I guess because I dont have to much invested in the show I was hoping for more. The show is meant to stray from reality, and the bad things they do are justified by the fact that they are dealing with the paranormal. But what bothered me was the last show had nothing to do with the paranormal. in the end like 4 innocent people died for no reason and no one seemed to think to call the cops. at any point. and it seems like they are going to make dean dwell on his stay in hell. what a baby. im still going to give the show a shot. I’ve seen how good it can be.

They mentioned calling the cops at the end when Dean thanked the family for giving the Winchester boys “a headstart” to get out of dodge before the cops arrived.

I like the episode a lot. Besides the parallel between Dean and the Kids, the movie seemed like a tribute to 80s slasher flicks. Something about how each scene was done.

Wouldn’t surprise me if it was a conscious effort to pay homage to old slasher flicks and they used the appropriate lightning/film for it.

Oh, for sure. Thats one thing i noticed was how well it was shot and layed out. it was actually scary. It paid homage without even seeming cliche, like when the lights went out. Normally you grumble when that shit happens in b movies, but i was too enthralled at that poiint in the show that i didnt question it. The direction is top notch

^
Honestly that toy out of the closet and the dog not licking the fingers from under the bed scene was straight out of your average 80s horror flicks.

Sadly the problem with that is unless she is a ghost, she will have a new actress. And we’ve seen how that worked out for poor Ruby.

My only issue with the episode:

The Impala’s (or whatever car it is they drive) trunk is only opened by keys, right? No trunk release (I don’t figure). If these “kids” were as far from human as they were, how would they know to jimmy a lock to open it, and take the weapons?

I loved the name of the episode tonight, and the premise was cool. Still, I wonder what Sam does to “recharge” his powers…

Oh right…“Criss Angel is a Douchebag”. I lauughed at that as well.

Barry Boaswick always tends to make me shed a tear at his performances…

not sex with a demon hmm?

My question is whether or not magic like that works on demons… those tarot cards could come in handy…

I thought the same thing at first, haha.

But what makes it great is that it is so fucking true.

Great episode last night. And the bittersweet ending was nice as well, you just got to feel for Jay, Charlie and Vernon.

I think it alludes to one way the series could end.

Yeah, I kind of got that as well, with maybe Dean being Jay and Sam being Charlie.

Anyway on the new episode, I am surprised we haven’t gotten another main story arc episode in what feels like such a long time. I thought this was supposed to be a big apocalypse season but really like they usually do with this show, they seem prepped to cram a majority of that story into the last two episodes at the end of the season.

Either way, it was a good episode if only for Dean’s coaching stint and his 21 Jump Street reference.

Also RIP Supernatural director Kim Manners.

was last nites episode the bloodiest?

just a random note. i dont like when they make psychics nose bleed in shows when they are concentrating their powers. its so unimaginative and foolish.

Dean’s coaching made the ep for me, it was a riot.

Wow, that totally blows about Manners. :frowning: He’ll be missed.

I missed tonight’s episode…but I’ll catch up soon.

I was hoping to see more apocalyptic ideas for this season but I guess they need to get a lot of research info first. So in the meantime, we see Dean & Sam chase after ghosts & goblins.

Dean wearing those shorts was a riot, but his reference to the kid that passed out on top of Sam about him giving him the “full cowgirl” was top tier (lmao).

It was nice to find out more about their childhood. Dean was a rebel & Sam was just a kid trying to fit in wherever he went. Sad to see that friends (& enemies) he got close to had a lot of emotional problems of their own & wound up killing themselves.

I just wish we could get to know more about their father & Bobby, as well.
