Thatâs certainly part of it. I think the other part is the licensing fee. WB owns the Superman/Supergirl license. CBS had to play a substantial fee per episode to broadcast Super Girl. It think it was a million per episode. The CW is co-owned by the WB. So, I doubt they have to pay that fee. The budget may be lower, but they may actually have more to spend per episode.
CBS is owned by Viacom. CW is owned by Warner Bros. Supergirl was only on CBS due to a special agreement between the two parent companies, which is now null and void.
canadian govt gives you money to film there. everyone leaves cali cause its expensive as fuck. its pretty rare for movies and shows to film in cali anymore.
While thatâs true, the move to the CW still couldâve reduced some kind of licensing fee. Moving the show to a network co-owned by WB could still be a benefit in that same way.
Was not feeling that Drega look at all. Dude looked like a drunk alien farmer that just finished a round of savage backhands to people stepping on his crops.
So Alex is hot for Maggie but sheâs already spoken for. Whelp, that blonde will be dumped soon enough
Miss Martian is a White Martian. Finding that out was a bout as shocking as finding out Annakin Skywalker grows up to be Darth Vader. Thank you, Young Justice!
Iâm waiting for Aqualad to show up and replace Jimmy. This whole Guardian thing seems like last ditch effort to keep him relevant in the show. He seems like a fish out of water. Everyone else that came over from season 1 seems to be better this year.
