I’ll admit I really enjoyed this premiere. They addressed most if not all the issues I had with the show between the side characters,effects and superman. Speaking of which I just gotta say this is the most "superman"superman I’ve seen in a long time. If the show continues at this rare it will easily be one of the best superhero shows on tv now just behind the flash and agents of shield.
Holy balls. Did… Did I see a live action Superman that actually… smiles? That alone is enough to make this Superman good! But his Clark is also pretty dope.
I know right!
So give this season a chance then?
That was the first movie, before he became a sociopath who died fighting a mindless monster after boxing with a vigilante murderer dressed like a Bat and then teaming up with said murderer and an anorexic amazon, while the Riddler cosplayed as Lex Luthor.
This superman actor might not look the part quite that well but man does he feel the part. Its nice to have a superman that actually acts like superman.

Supergirl fucking up already. Jimmy should have been Mr. Action.
I saw the first episode of S2 just for the kicks. Is it me or does Supergirl come across as much more campier than flash/arrow? Maybe I was just watching with a biased tinge?
Flash is equally campy.
Flash is campy, but they make it work better.
Sometimes Supergirl can’t decide if it wants to be campy or a scifi drama.
When he has his glasses on, he looks like half Dean Cain, half Cavill.
Not bad.
While not as bad as Ray’s bootleg Iron Man armor, it is definitely a close second.
Isn’t he supposed to look more like this?
Or is this a different Guardian?
One thing about this show that will forever amuse me is how incredibly off the casting is for Jimmy Olsen…not just the race-swap of the character either… since when has that dork ever been written to be the tall, cool “ladies’ man”? It’s so bizarre and wrong that it’s hilarious, imo. Like imagine if they did a reboot of Revenge of the Nerds—but they cast Dwayne The Rock Johnson as Luis Skulnik, and Zac Effron as Gilbert…and perhaps Idris Elba as Booger…and Shemar Moore as Poindexter. C’mon now, that’s ridiculous. 
Nothing wrong with Jimmy being black. There is plenty wrong with him not acting like Jimmy and kinda sorta implying that he was the Jimmy that everyone knows and he just “developed” into this.
He is the only character in the premiere that we had no real insight on what they are planning to do with until the Guardian reveal came outta nowhere.
Hoping they don’t just slap him into Super Hero gear and call it a day.
Something tells me that they planned for Jimmy to be The Guardian for awhile. If so, at least have a flashback, or two, explaining how he came to this decision. I’m also sure Supes had a hand in his decision directly or indirectly.
We shall call him The Scooper!!!
The budget is supposed to be lower this season. Doesn’t seem like it thus far. So far things look better.
