Superbowl Snacks?

For those you of watching the big game, are you just getting simple chips/wings from the grocery store?

Or are you cooking elaborate Giada level , fancy shit?

I’m probably just doing the former since its just me and my parents.

I make a queso every opening Sunday and every Superbowl, to open and close out the season.

4-6 cans of Campbells Cheddar Cheese condensed soup
2-4 jars diced pimentos
1-2 cans Rotel tomatoes
Diced green chiles. If you can get your hands on some roasted Hatch chiles, they work the best. Otherwise you can use the canned stuff, which isn’t quite as good as fresh or frozen, but will do. I roast my own and have them frozen in my freezer. Use as much as you want- I use a lot!

Put it all in a crockpot on low for a few hours. Serve with tortilla chips.

might get one of those slightly more expensive bowls of ramen

I usually cook chili, but that might not happen this year.

I might cook some bacon-wrapped little smokies sprinkled in brown sugar to go alongside the chips and queso.

Another good one is to slice jalapenos in half, deseed/stem, fill with cream cheese, top with bacon, and bake in the oven or grill.

I’ve had something similar, The only difference is chicken was added. Bottom line, Best thing ever.

Get a nice dip with that and you should be good to go.

Spent about 2 hours making a more elaborate version of this last night adding onions, habaneros, bell peppers, and slow roasting the meat in peach juice: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/jeff-mauro/buffalo-chicken-subs-recipe.html

And soon I’ll be making this: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/grilled-beef-satay-recipe.html

Was also going to make Empanadas, but I don’t feel like going out lol.

Full bowl of Tostitos Nacho Cheese and Tortilla Chips. That’s all I need.
