Super Wiring

Ahh! thanks that helps a lot… when teh numbers were going higher I was like what the eff… why is it getting smaller! thanks Dark

@D3v That or…just get an uncle that doesn’t give a shit about me or him to buy me drinks or a cousin. Though im not big on drinking… a super lightweight -.- so i said forget it. Lmao

Also MhintTea, I hope when you created this thread you meant to reference the J&J modding type of super wiring. Have you seen their work that has the wires all together flowing like water and what not? A lot of people think its ribbon cable but its not, they actually glue the wires together to make it look all neat and tidy. Stuff like what mortified showed you is more minimalistic where he hides everything. Gummo does super fast (but still clean) wiring.

Thats why Kuya_Joe is talking about glue. They use glue for their SuperWiring™

There’s always grandpa’s cough syrup for that Robo-Wiring.

It’s similar to stuff like sandpaper grit, where the higher the number the smaller/finer it is.

Also, super glue isn’t much for sniffing.

A good tip for speed wiring is using multiple colored wires so you can make your own coloring scheme. Personally, I use stranded cat5 cable because for one reason it gives me 8 colors to use. If I wire stuff up into groups I can reuse the same color.

The benefit is that you’ll be able to tell which wire is what by just looking at it. Which makes it easier and faster to wire up one pcb to another pcb because you spend less time trying to figure out which wire is going where. It also makes trouble shooting a lot easier.

Of course… after looking at them sexy wires it made me want to get into modding that with a combination of one day hopefully making works like B15. So I’m trying to learn as much as possible~ any body have extra sticks lying around, they’d like to get super wired or at least a practice attempt…I have a few coming though so hopefully I get in some experience.

@d3v ahh! Ok that makes more sense… so the standard wire to use for buttons and things are 24-26 awg right?~

Ahh!! that’s pro where do you get your supply of cat5 cable? I see I see… color coordination is definitely the way to go though. Just me in general makes it a ton easier because I have good memory when it comes to stuff like this. And I’m pretty visual so id like that hahaha.

Around home, I go to home depot or lowes and pick up a 100ft. I wish I had a Fry’s around here instead though.

the negative side about using cat5 wire is that when you use the individual wires (or just in their twisted pair), its hard to make the wiring look pretty like the super wiring.

Ahh Gotcha Gotcha! ill be sure to keep that in mind ;O! Thanks Gummo, Anything else?

22 AWG is the most common gauge.

Ah! kk gotcha, and Im guessing anything smaller is a bit hard to hold up the wiring of shit being mashed?~

On a related note, I seriously need to find out where to get Techflex in the Philippines.

I seen a ton on ebay…wouldn’t they ship there?~

MhintTea, I think you are confused what Super Wiring is.
It is a wiring style of J&J Super Modding.

Since you asked for Super Wiring in for this Thread, I thought you knew stuff about it.
But then you typed that you do not know what the glue is for.
That is why Kuya_Joe say you are trolling.

Check out our Thread to know what Super Wiring really is.
I’m not believing that you have requests for Super Wiring.

If you’re crimping quick disconnects (or any other connectors) they will specify a range of wire sizes they are designed for. Best to stick with that.
These, for example, specify 18-22 AWG. Anything smaller and the crimp won’t hold, anything bigger and it won’t fit. (You can hack around this, but I wouldn’t make that plan A.)

Lol I have request for super wiring, More like attempts or practice, or rather neat wiring. Which is why I decided to get as much information as I can, This thread helped a lot but I will be looking through your thread. For more ideas and examples on awesome wiring~

Ahh! thanks a ton lol, clearing up all the questions I have had and all the confusion… This thread is going to save me lot of trial and error.

Really? You have customers asking for you to Super Wire like us?
Why not they just come to us then?
Your customers are mean.

I understand it if you decide to put in the Super Wiring for them, without them asking.

I’ve seen people on Tech Talk asking a Case Builder to build a Case like another Case Builder.
I think that is really weird, and mean.
Trying to save a few bucks.

Well, anyone can try Super Wiring.
We’ll help those who need.

Lol, yeah it’s kinda without them asking of course I’m sure whoever wanted the best job done possible would come to you two. I really do appreciate the help though and thanks for the tips and advice. Though i’m not trying to super wire like you guys or anything just trying to get my hands on the basic techniques and materials, and hopefully create my own way and things that makes my wiring different and unique. ^ ^

unique wiring is good wiring
clean wire is even better

and it is weird, i have had a few people ask me to build a case like some other builders
it definitely is quite odd
