Regarding the psx to jamma converters…is it actually possible to config your stick/controller (pad) in the dip switch menu on the ST board? If so, this may end up being a long term solution for ST via superguns (which can actually be inclusive of pad players). I also wonder if anyone has updated this model to include PS3/Xbox 360 controllers.
Belated congratulations to Ganelon, Damdai and Rambo!
Now, I’m not Ghaleon (even though a staggering number of people mix up our handles) but I also happen to have a PS-JAMMA converter from laugh (who’s been the sole distributor of these converters to my knowledge from MWC, EVO, and these SBO qualifiers). Anyway, you can configure all the punches and kicks but it’s not through dip switches. Here’s how the converter’s built-in button config works as described by the creator himself: http://shoryuken.com/f226/wts-psx-jamma-supergun-converters-[-stock-]-156028/
The only thing not mentioned there is that the LED indicator on the PCB also serves as a guide. It’s normally always on, turns off when you start the button config, flashes once for each of the 6 buttons chosen, and then remains on again.
It’s basically like mapping in HDR, except to get to “map” mode you just push the 4 normal face buttons + start.
Go into custom button mapping mode by pressing [] + /\ + O + X + Start
Let go of the buttons after pressing the combination of buttons from step 1.
Press 1 button at a time, each time pressing a different button, up to 6 buttons. The order in which you pressed each button has determined Button1 through Button6.
