**Sign ups are officially closed, but still feel free to sign up, and i will add you to the reserve list incase someone drops out.

Something which has shocked me is that there hardly ever seems to be super turbo tournaments online, the last successfull one was a few months ago, but european only. It had a good turnout, of 48 people and even the finals were recorded, which were some great matches. I’ll see about getting it hosted somewhere.

Anyway i think we can do the same here. I don’t want to restrict this to just US and European players, Anyone anywhere who wants to play Super Turbo, i encourage you to sign up.

Here the rules and and conditions.

  • No limit of players, so tell your friends, and spread it round the kaillera servers.
  • All entrants must be a member on this forum, so no signing up friends who never come on here, which makes it easier to contact eachother.
  • Straight knockout, once you lose your out of the tournament.
  • Each game is the best of 3 out of 5.
  • Everyone must use mame32k.064, unless you have serious problems with it and have to use kawaks 1.55, and your opponent must agree to using kawaks 1.55 aswell. Also the semi’s and finals will be recorded and will put on the net.
  • You have 1 week to play the match, if you cannot arrange a time to play within that week, then a small extension, of up to 3 extra days will be given, Anymore and the tournament will slow down. If you cannot get ahold of your oppponent, then email or pm me, and if he/she still does not reply, then that person will be disqualified.
  • Sign-ups start today and will end Thursday 26th next week. The first round of the tournament will start on Friday 27th.

What speed are we playing on btw? or is it just a case of “decide before you play”?

Good question, i should have mentioned this. The speed with be the standard setting that kaillera starts the game as, which is “1”. i think this is best, cause if i say 3 instead, some people will probably forget in there matches, which would make the tournament unfair.

Yes, once sign-ups are over, brackets will be made, and hosted most likely on its own website, complete with all entrant’s emails and other contact details.

My only issue is that ST crashes a lot in 32k 0.64. Anybody been playing ST on HK2? I’m playing either way, just want to eliminate any potential for crying foul.

I honestly never got a crash on ssf2t on 0.64. Instead I have lots of crashes for any version above 0.86, even offline

Spinal the version of the rom will be ssf2t.zip.

Noaffinity, if you can convince your opponent to use a diff emu with you, then thats fine.
