I might have a job for the next 3 weeks. I my interview is on monday.
If i do have a job. I’ll probably get down to A&C at around 6ish. … The job is temporary, I’ll be completely available for brettcave meeting as well as the ones after.
Actually wait, I meant that I’ll let you know Monday evening as I also have an interview on that day. If I get the job and I start that day I probably won’t be making Wednesday.
Oh man, this thread is awesome. I would be SO HAPPY to find people in Toronto (I live in Scarborough) to practice with!!! I’m not too big on SSF4 (nor own the game), and right now the only fighting game I’d put time into is SSF2T… after the real one (Muay Thai). I’m willing to practice tons with good players, so anyone up for it - online or offline - please let me know.

I finished my job interview. And my hours end at 3:30. so I won’t be that much later than normal. My guess is that it’ll take me an hour to get down there so 4:30-5:00…
I’ll try to go there this Wednesday. The thing is, I have no gamepad or arcade stick, and while I can use most pads quite well, all my fighting game mastery is on keyboard (I played Killer Instinct at a very high level with keyboard and absolutely no macros). If people don’t mind letting me use their peripherals, then I could eventually adjust.
Read the first post in the thread. I provide 1 arcade stick (just cuz i have too much crap to carry otherwise) Usually someone else brings another one. If not, I bring extra RJ-45 cables and I mooch an arcade stick from a random person who has an RJ-45 port…
I noticed you said you’re from scarborough. Could you give me a lift there and back? (I’m at danforth & victoria park) If so then I can bring two sticks and not have to worry about finding a stick at A&C.
I switched from keyboard to arcade stick, it’s not too bad… I could never play on pad though (still can’t) my peference for controllers is stick>keyboard (left handed controls) > Keyboard( right handed controls) > pad.
A&C has sticks but they all have non functioning buttons, so I can’t configure the buttons properly with my converter.

Sorry buddy, I don’t drive! I guess that makes two of us. By the way, I’m actually very very close to you. Like almost neighborhood close, looool. I live right by Warden station. 
I’m best with keyboard, followed by pad, and arcade stick the least. I have very little experience with arcade sticks, so I’d need time to adjust to and perfect its usage.
Good to know. Well, I hope to make it this Wednesday and learn SSF2T from OG vets and pros. 
After heroes world I figured the blue tint couldn’t be the TV. (just so happened that both TVs messed up the same way?)
So I decided to plug it into my HDTV (ugh, input delay) yup. tinted blue.
So I opened up my supergun to see if there was anything wrong. I noticed that there were three spots with joints but were empty. labeled R G and B… That’s when I realized that the 3 pieces of plastic that stuck out of the supergun were colour knobs. (oddly enough, the PAL/NTSC switch which I also found is still hidden inside the supergun inaccessable unless opened)
Also this was to make sure my video capture card worked with my supergun setup. Yup. It does. so If anyone decides to bring a laptop we can capture video that way rather than with a video camera.

It wasn’t that important to see the video anyway, I just wanted to include it so you had an idea of how the quality is.
Youtube has a damn video editor built in. Couldn’t they just clip the end rather than remove the entire video?!. What a waste of bandwith and time.
I’ll be at A&C tomorrow, but first I gotta take my Jetta to the mechanic at 8 am for some stuff. Hopefully I won’t be too long.
As for the capture card business, I have my laptop with a program called Pinnacle Studio 12. Don’t know if that’s what we need. I don’t know anything about video capture tbh. Let me know if there’s any free software I can dl and whatever else I may need too including cables and such.

Around 3pm I get out of class. My school is right by Broadview station (yes, that crappy adult school). I really don’t know where to meet up, though. Plus, I’m sure I could make it from Broadview to Spadina on TTC quite easily. Therefore, I think Unessential is more in need of a ride than I, lol… that is, unless I have my classes switched from last period to first period (morning). I am not sure if that will happen, so I will say that at least for this week I should be good without a ride. I really don’t mind missioning it out via TTC, anyway.

And if so, do you have to head back to work after showing up still? (is your d/f on your arcade stick still messed up…? brett seems to use it just fine, for me, at heroe’s world it seems it always messes up on me at the worst times)
I’m ok to get to A&C games myself. I’ll just bring what I normally do. (1 stick, supergun setup, and a whole bunch of extra cables just in case). You don’t have to come pick me up unless you foresee us having lots of problems finding a second arcade stick for the setup,…)
It just seems like lots of trouble for you going from sauga, past A&C to come here, and then backtrack to A&C again.
Yea my crazy schedule doesn’t end until around june. If you guys have no problems TTCing it then it’s all good.

Darn, I might not be able to make it tomorrow; I have to run some unfortunate last minute errands. Will there be ST at every meetup in the store? I am really looking forward to playing local people for more practice, as online I can only use Supercade (in a fairly limited way - not everyone will connect) and not GGPO.
