I’m curious if Super Arcade goes with quarters or a card system. Gotta know if I should bring quarters for the qualifier (or for casuals beforehand).
It uses tokens. 4 tokens per dollar. If you put in $5 or $10 in the machine, you’ll get extra tokens. $5 = 24 tokens. $10 = 48 tokens. $20 gives you 100 tokens I think? Some insane amount.

I really hate how places like Dave n Busters and Round1 do that kind of shit. They charge like 1.2 credits for games, 3.7 credit for some of the bigger games, or some shit like that. It’s like wtf, what does mean in DOLLARS?!
Sorry for keeping the arcade open so late. I think we’ll get the show started earlier so that you can get home and get your rest before you have to open up shop the next morning.
BIG thanks to commando for putting in the work to set up the stream. He put in a lot of effort into making all this happen, and I know that we as the players and organizers loved the experience, and hopefully the stream monsters loved watching the Super Arcade players in action. I some people out on the internets really wanted us to stream, and so without him, we wouldn’t be able to have done this.
Of course, always a standing thanks to Papa Watts. He’s always supported our scene from the beginning, and we’re glad that he let us have an opportunity to set up a stream station right at the front of the arcade, and for staying up later than usual to allow us to finish our rankings tournament.
Thanks to the players for showing up and continuing to support the scene, despite the long drive. It was great seeing some new faces and I hope we’ll see you around here more often, so shout-outs to VC, Problems, Millertime, and even Commando for joining in on the tournament.

He landed some pretty sick combos. Unfortunately, my own Guile couldn’t win out against synco when I needed to. 3/5 matches are pretty difficult to close out.
Great stream last night. It was definitely nice to finally see some ST action from Super Arcade. Big props to Commando and Watson.
The eltrouble and millertime commentating duo was very entertaining! Voltech sounded so pro on the mic. All you guys need to be on stream for the qualifiers.
Thanks Kuroppi. Glad you enjoyed it. It felt like the people seemed to response positively to me and millertime commentating, even though we were mainly just talking about random topics, and occasionally talking about the match itself. According to the chat, people seemed to be more interested by our random conversations than talking about the match at hand.
Millertime and I are definitely going to be on the stream for qualifiers, we both enjoyed the experience immensely, and hope to continue entertaining you guys.

The challenge system will probably work like this:
- Only players in the list can challenge other players, and they may only challenge the person above them in rank.
- Placing Top 8 in any tournament run at Super Arcade for ST allows those players to challenge rankings 6-10 whether or not they are on the board.
- Losing a challenge results in moving down one spot independent of who issued the challenge.
- A challenger that loses and was not previously on the list will be unable to issue any challenges even if they place in the Top 8 of a tournament that follows the loss. However, the ability to challenge is reinstated after an ST tournament following the loss concludes.
- Ranked players must show up for challenges at the designated (between the players) event after accepting. Failure to show up results in a forfeit to the challenger and the loss of one rank.
