was there a session this past weekend? finals have been killing me so I haven’t been able to go.
I haven’t been able to make it for three weeks straight, real life is killing me. And my basement AND roof flooded this weekend, fuck.

Well, let’s take stock of where we are. Zass has a cab, Airthrow has a cab (albeit with American sticks), and I just bought a Blastcity cab. My cab needs some work on it, but we should in theory have enough resources amongst everyone to keep things going, right?
Was there a battle at all saturday? I would’ve gone but I was watching UFC at Renton Hooters. (Ironically, the girls there are skankily dressed but most of them aren’t big busted, false advertising)
I have a cabinet for now but it needs a new flyback transformer for the monitor, I do have Dreamcast with Super Turbo.
What work needs to be done on your cab andrew? I am tech-savy and can volunteer whatever you need to get it up and running. Blast Cities are AWESOME, btw. Where did you get it and for how much?
Yeah GEOz how about we set up some candy cab group buy. LETS DO THIS. Someone sell me a jap cab immediately. I am still enraged about the PG situation and buying really expensive and semi-unnecessary things is how I deal with the pain.
Mr. Blaze - thanks for the offer. Right now I’m trying to get the sound working on the cab, but I think it’s just because I am a cab noob that it’s taking longer than it should. If I can’t figure it out then I’ll give you a call for sure.
Pablo - My wife is ok with me having one cab but not more than that, so I won’t be buying any more anytime soon. To be honest I don’t even know if the cab I bought is going to fit downstairs in my basement which is where it needs to go… gulp. I can give you the contact details of who I bought it from – it’s the same person who Zass got his cab from.
I don’t know how things work in Scotland, Ireland, Australia, Georgia, or any other place where people have accents. But here in the USA, we beat our women first, then ask for their opinions. And no, Georgia is not a part of the USA.
How much to candy cabs go for if we were to do a group buy? If they end up being $300-500 a piece, I’d be down for one or four.
That’s easy if you have video working, I am sure I could get you up and running easily, just lemme know if you can’t figure it out. You either are going to get sound from the Jamma loom itself, or your setup is going to plug RCA jacks into the CPS2 B board itself. Check your fuses as well, it is easy to blow sound hardware by plugging in non-jamma compatible boards (like MVS motherboards). Also with ALL arcade cabs you should check your voltages with a multimeter to make sure it is within spec, you don’t want to over or under power your boards. 5 volt rail should read between 5v and 5.13 volts on your meter (I think 5.1 is ideal so that as the power supply ages, it will still be in spec).
I would be scared of any power supply that has been running for years in a Japanese arcade 24/7 covered in freaking nicotine tar.

The only cost benefit of group buys is saving on shipping and MAAAYBE getting a newer cabinet than the ones “in the wild”, but there is absolutely no way you are getting cabs for 300 dollars. :wtf:
