Btw I think you’re confusing applicability of familiarity with critical thinking. Anyone can do anything for extended periods of time when its an exhibition of muscle memory. You’re so familiar with every process of a fighting game that there is no need to think critically during many portions of it. The only thing that has to happen is you recognizing the pattern and applying a solution. But when you’re trying to build a repertoire of strats and practice on applying those strats, playing past mental exhaustion is worthless.
At least it has been for me. You fine folks might more mentally capable.

Most of us aren’t more capable, we’re just more willing. Though the analogy to working out is not a fantastic one, I can still use that and say that there are times in workout that you need to break past that “I’m tired” barrier and push through to the next level.
Mental exhaustion is an incredibly subjective term, and I doubt that anyone here has truly reached that state yet.
