Deejay’s rolling sobat and rh slide can be punished after block with cr.fw~shouken.
^ same goes for a blocked zonk knuckle from Cody.
Obviously, you can punish after block on most moves, but these can be done relatively far away from sakura and since she’s so leggy, her hit confirm low forward into shouken will punish.

Thanks guys! Sakura going strong, though I will say, on the tournament level, it is very very frustrating, I find that most of the time, you have to be extra patient when using Sakura against certain match-ups. For me its against Rufus, Blanka, Dictator, Claw and Boxer and shotos =(.
late cr.hp/ close hk beat bisons U2 easily no need to guess which side to block.
close hk has better frame advantage
I think you can just jump back j.MP to beat Psycho Punisher, its attack boxes don’t seem to be active until it’s quite close to the ground.
Speaking of bison, can anything beat his head stomp? I tried almost everything including cr.hp. Should i just block this?
Regular or EX? Depends on how quick you can react to it. It is possible to beat with a c.HP but it’s hard, if you can meet him in the air then nj.HP or nj.MK do the trick pretty easily, for EX it’s best to just block it.
You have to be directly underneath him for cr. hp to beat EX Head Stomp, I think.

Hm for Seth i’d say you gotta be patient. The Seth’s I’ve versed always zone with sonic booms. Obviously you just gotta jump over those and close in bit by bit. The goal here is to trap him in the corner. If he wall jumps stop him from going out with nj.hp or nj.mp. When he’s in the corner start rushing him down and try do the mixups/resets cause you wanna try and stun him. That’s all I got for now.
Anyone out there, feel free to correct, this is just what I try to do when versing him.
Edit: Oh and try to guess if he’s gonna telep[ort or not if you know he will just quickly walk back and sweep him and start doing some mixups, or try bait out the shoryuken and punish.
be careful moving forward vs seth when you get into the range of his stretchy limbs, j.hp… You can aa with c.fp, but the timing is a bit tricky imo… Stay back and hop over sonic booms until he wall dives and c.fp that too Other than that, I agree…be patient, knock him down and mix him up until hes stunned.
I still can’t beat Chun! It seems like she has a way out of all of my mixups because she has a neutral jumping attack that is way better than anything Sakura has. Not to mention it hits both ways like Juri’s.
I’ve had trouble vsing chun li as well cause of her pokes. But one tip I heard for her neutral jumping heavy kick is to bait it out, then run in and punish with c.hp as she comes down. That’s all I know so far…
Hm. That’s a start. The problem is that I can’t find too many ways to generate offense against her because she’s basically a tank and if you get close then she has so many tools to keep you out. And her fireball game is better than Sakuras.

Corner her, punish with EX Shou and score a knock down.
On Wakeup she is free with nj.hk try mixin it up.
learn FA against her slower pokes. (mainly cr.hk)
It is a hard matchup never the less.
EX Otoshi will make him think twice about using Sonic Booms, once you have meter it seriously cuts down his zoning game. Don’t Focus Sonic Booms as he can simply forward dash and s.HP you.
j.MP beats his j.HP, I think c.HP does too but he can empty jump to bait stuff so careful with that. Focus absorbing s.HP and j.HP is a fairly safe way of moving forward.
His teleport has huge recovery now, the old shenanigans of Sonic Boom > Teleport (behind) on your wake-up tricky is a thing of the past now, he still has crazy mix-up though.
Updated guys, almost everyone should have some sort of tip, I will add more as you guys post, or what I find out while playing. Hopefully this will be helpful to you guys. Freetgy and his findings about late crossup with mk has been godlike for me. Thank you very much for that tidbit.
cant a fierce shouoken honda after a blocked fp headbutt, i did a few times, but reversal gives one hit, and just after reversal gives knockdown, for me at least
Those Claw tactics are a big help. You can’t rely on c.HP too much for jump ins, but they stuff his flying Barcelona almost every time with proper timing. Some Vega players are used to being crossed up, so you might wanna toss in a fake cross up or two just to keep him on his toes. Tick throws work well too, but sparingly. His pokes have good distance and priority. And don’t forget to dp through his backflip!
