1Prophecy:

First thing, I just wanted to say that I agree with everything thats been said about the console (now new challenger) tournament and how people thought it favoured others more. I just want to put in my two cents and what my point of view is.

How come people never complained when it was “arcade characters” only? Like Lovegety or whatnot tournies? (I haven’t been in the scene for long to know how many tournies but i’ve seen at least one) Console characters got excluded from the arcade version, why not vice versa? I know the intent of why so many of you was to even the playing field and that this tourney was to primarily exhibit the new challenger characters but console character players had to learn arcade characters to play on the arcade, why does this have to be any different?

Again, I do not mean to offend or downplay anybodies comments or pov. This is just from a new console character player that wants to put in my two cents.

Why would people complain about something impossible? How do I pick Sakura at Lovegetty?

Showcase new characters in a $10 tournament that allows 9 characters that we’ve seen for over a year now?

Is the singles tournament all new characters? or is that the teams tournament? or both?

Team Tournament is all characters allowed.

Singles tournament is only new characters allowed.

Teams are actually really fun. Its a blast cheering for each other. If I’m there on May 1st, I’ll team with you if you need a team still. I wouldn’t worry about the losing part or anything.

I think my team which would typically be Chun/Fei Long/Ryu is going to look like Guy/Dee Jay/Dudley.

Windsor will be showing for this; likely with 2 teams. We haven’t worked out who is on each team yet though.

And Bernard; I will probably use Mak in teams if I get enough practice to learn her in the 3 days leading up to this lol.
