It comes with a square 8 way
How does it work for you guys Ergonomically? Your knees and hands/wrists alright? No I don’t mean the whole cutting thing, I mean is there a diff between round 1 and 2 Te’s use? Either one seem better to help prevent (or postpone) carpal tunnel lol
yo markman, is there any way to join 2 te’s together? as in make it a 2 player unit?
a corner on mine is bent ever so sliiightly up. i dont know why this bothers me. i guess cuz it was expensive and otherwise it seems so god damned nice. yes, cool story, i know.
I love these sticks! Now that I own both, I figure I should post a pic:

The White one has new Sanwa buttons, an octo-gate, and an LS-33 spring mod. The black one is just going to stay stock. Probably forever.
I think the white / black rim Sanwa buttons make it look 200x better than the crazy Skittles XBox buttons…
Hwy guys, just about to make my final decision whether to grab a new “S” TE or the Old MvC2 one (http://shop.capcom.com/store/capcomus/DisplayCategoryProductListPage/categoryID.11087000).
Just need to know whether the sharp edge can be fixed by filing or dremeling it down or something? Or any other method?
Cheers for any replies
It’s just a thin plastic sheet, it can be irritating for some, but not an issue for others.
Everyone worries about it being sharp but does anyone who actually own it think it’s uncomfortable? I don’t think it is. You can always take automotive sand paper to it then buff it with your Dremel if you’re worried about it looking shiny after you sand it.
Okay cool thanks.
I was worried because I actually held off on getting a plexi for the original TE because I figured it looked really sharp on all the photos I saw. In fact I even made a thread concerning it here: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=223931&p=8324614&highlight=#post8324614
If I can just sand it down then I suppose it wont be an issue. On the other hand that MvC2 stick is pretty damn sexy, especially with MvC3 just being announced
Gotta get HYPE!!
I don’t notice this “sharpness” at all, honestly. When I read about it, I paid attention to my TE-S for like 2 days, but after that I got tired of thinking about it. It has never once bothered me.
Yay 4 me. Roundhouse button BORKED. Gonna have to order a replacement board from Madcatz tomorrow. Ugh. Frustration = me.
Edit: Well I unplugged it a couple times and they finally started working again. Do people who have this incident usually need a new board? I can’t remember the consensus from Round 1 TEs. Guess I’ll go check the old thread.
sorry to hear that. thats madcatz for ya.
Do the TE ‘S’ weigh the same as the regular/vanilla/old TE?
There might be a LITTLE less plastic on the sides but its still very close if not the same.
So, button update: Shit stopped working again and started again after an unplug like most people tend to encounter. If it keeps happening I’ll just tell MC to send a new PCB my way. Fucking shitty ass PCBs.
I read somewhere that someone opened up their stick, removed and reconnected the connectors on the RH button, and it helped. No idea if it really helps or just seems to though, and maybe not the best plan if you plan to make use of the warranty.
Best bet is to buy a Cthulu PCB and throw that POS mad crapz pcb in the trash. If you got a 360 version, I guess call Mad Crapz.
dude, that sucks. i read another thread here about possible static issues that affect these things because of the metal plate on bottom. if i have any problems after the 90 day warranty is up, i don’t know what i’ll do. what do 360 owners do for replacement pcb’s?
I just read the whole of that old thread.
Seems like it was a common problem cause either by a defect in the PCB, or a static build up on some plates inside the casing, or a combo of both. Some people fixed the problem by replacing the PCB, some fixed it by grounding the plates.
Another, easier workaround appears to be to switch the wiring of the LT and RT buttons around and reconfig the controller settings in-game. That seems to work.
This stuff SHOULD NOT be happening with such expensive pieces of kit though. I knew as soon as I found out that it was Mad Catz making these things that there would be problems…
Na, a PCB should last almost indefinitely or at least for years and years. I don’t understand why they didn’t get these problems fixed. I’m not too upset though because the customer support people are very helpful.
When the RH buttons failed to work again I took the stick apart and stuck a wire on a Ground and the RH terminals located on the PCB and nothing worked. It’s definitely the PCB and not the button/quick disconects/terminals
