I just wanted to add that I’m especially looking for experience against strong Chun-Li, Gief, Ryu, Rog and Bison players. That said, I’m happy to play anybody decent regardless of their character.
Stalked xgrayninja from another thread and found this place. I play Juri(main), Viper, Ibuki, and Abel. Would love to face Cammy, Sagat, Sakura, Akuma, Vega and Bison(Dic), Gen players. Anyone who is decent with their characters basically.

Great games to xgrayninja. Was laggy at first(sorry) but it became better just occasional spikes! You have great footsies(dat kara throw is frustrating) and you got your safe jumps down. Hope you liked my Juri at the very least.
Your Juri is very good. Every time I was in the corner, I basically thought “Okay, so there’s like an %80 chance that I may lose right here” haha. I think that matchup is very interesting, though. Juri’s zoning isn’t much of a huge problem IMO because it doesn’t really do much damage by and large, so it becomes much more about footsies. Juri’s cr.MK>fireball release seems like a really scary tool at mid-range. Oh and your rush-down with her is very on point. The high/low mixups you’ve got with instant-jump MP>Divekick are pretty scary.
And don’t worry about the lag. There were definitely some connection issues from time to time (which showed up in me randomly missing combos >_<), but for the most part it was very playable, especially near the end.
I wish I knew more about Vega then I could give a better analysis on the match up. But there’s only been 3 really good vegas I’ve faced all online too. Zeus, You, and a player named SpookTVMT. When facing them and vega in general, I’m afraid to anti-air because of his j.fierce. It usually outright beats her cr.strong and trades with cr.fierce. When I realize it trades they usually just delay his close fierce to catch me teching.
Zeus loves to get me with the izuna loop and honestly I don’t see why not. Izuna catches ex pinwheel easily because its airborne and ex counter is begging to be grabbed. Either backdash (hers is pretty awful, you could probably catch her with the FBA) or forward dash (she goes super low to the ground). Zeus is on another level though. His links never fail either -.-
Spook, he likes to frame trap me a lot. J.fierce ~move back a lil~ then kara throw, j.fierce then cosmic heel(delayed). He also gets the x-up ex FBA a lot or even cross up U1. Idk the setups.
I feel you have to get Vega’s bs started really quickly. Get the life lead and play me on that. I still feel Vega’s j.fierce gives him a free jump in on Juri.
Oh and yea fear that corner game cuz its wear Juri truly shines.
Yeah, to be honest I know very little about the Juri matchup aside from what I know on paper about her. You’re literally the first good Juri I’ve ever fought, so I’m still finding myself caught off guard by some of her stuff. However, I think that once I adequately learn the matchup, I could easily see it being in Vega’s favor. As I said, her zoning isn’t very scary, and Vega hits like a truck when he has meter, which is only made worse by the fact that Juri has below average health and stun. That, and Juri is super free to Vega’s okizeme due to her “meh” wakeup options. What’s especially cool is that Vega’s crossup j.HP works on Juri as well.
And you’re correct regarding Vega’s j.HP being very hard to deal with for Juri; I noticed as we were playing that she’s alot like Guile, in that if I space a jump correctly it becomes very risky for her to anti-air it.
Next time I’ll try to get her zoning game started but I don’t think its much effective against Vega. I can imagine he can hop over low fireballs with his two hop moves.

Looking for people to practice with. I just started playing for real about 2 months ago so I’m not that good. I don’t really like practicing in ranked because after a while I only care about winning and increasing my BP/PP, which doesn’t make playing any fun.
So I’m just looking for some friendly matches to practice and have fun with and not worry about BP/PP. I’m at 660 BP but only because I stopped playing ranked.
I main Cammy and can kinda play Yun but not very well. Other than those 2, I don’t know any other characters.

ggs man. I think you need to be a little more assertive. If I remember correctly you have a strong sense of defense but you need to develop how to mount an offensive. With Cody you had some chances to disrupt pressure but you settled for blocking. Fun games tho. in VF too lol. Im so newb in that.

Thanks man, ggs. I know my weakness is my fundamentals. I’ve had the game since release, but I never took it seriously until about 2 months ago when I decided to get a good arcade stick. My main is Cody, but I’ve been trying to play as Ryu a lot (even though I want to learn all the characters). I find it very easy to see what you do wrong as you’re playing with him since he’s so basic and balanced. Unfortunately I crack easily under good pressure… that, and I play too many randoms, so I’m constantly finding DP mashers, so I’ve become more sensitive when I should pick my moments to counter.
It also doesn’t help that I play almost EVERY fighting game. Almost all of which I’m just now deciding to take seriously and get good at them.

Yeah it would definitely help to just focus on one fighting game. Hit me up for more games. I also play umvc3, skullgirls, are rarely sfxt. My main games tho are AE and now VF. I am having so much fun with it despite never playing any VF or 3D games.

Looking for someone to play AE with whenever I’m online. I play sort of sporadically. I’m still pretty new and not very good. I don’t have anyone to play in person with when I’m home from school in the summer. Don’t be afraid to invite me to a game if I’m online playing AE.
