I also noticed this. 100% bug. At the same time add that the window of a pause to the menu can move out. Moreover, the cursor will be in place.

The patch made it stop crashing from trying to map buttons, but the stick on my Hori PS3 wireless stick still wasn’t recognized. So I still had to aimlessly search the internet on specific instructions for how to use the x360ce thing to trick the computer into thinking it was a 360 controller.

If you’re having trouble with x360ce, remember you have to copy the .ini file it creates to your steamapps/common/super street fighter iv arcade edition folder. That’s the crucial bit of information all the forum threads seem to have left out, and not even the guy who made the program has those instructions on his site.

I shouldn’t have had to work this hard to be able to play my game.

I have the same problem. Does anyone know the fix to this?

listen everyone, if you have issues(in vista/7) just try to put the game in XP compatability mode, it seems to run better all around in that mode for me.

im stuck at the start screen. read some forums and assuming my keyboard is not recognized. where do i download the patch? please give a link. this is so frustrating :frowning: how do i patch?

I have a problem - I can’t see the game menus at all (black screen).

When I start the game I can see and get past the logos, then when I cancel the intro video the screen is just black (where I should see the “PRESS START TO BEGIN” screen). Well I pressed start and it doesn’t show me the menus and I don’t hear any sounds or music. Somehow I managed to mash out and play the arcade mode (so technically the game is on but the screen is just black), at the character selection screen everything was black except for the huge character portraits. I couldn’t see the VS screen but once it loaded I could play lol. Oh and the sound in the game was muted too, couldn’t hear anything at all.

I’ve updated the game and connected to GFWL, everything is fine in that department.

Win7 Ultimate x64
Laptop (i350, 4GB, Radeon 5470)

There seems to be an issue, possibly introduced with the new patch, where everything feels input-laggy and with slightly sluggish rendering if vsync is on. However, if I turn it off in the game and turn it on in my nvidia settings, it doesn’t suffer this problem.

Also seems motion blur gets applied to menu rendering and makes it slower.

Couple of other issues that vanilla didn’t have:

There’s no clean exit on the first menu, you have to alt+f4.

You can’t skip through the games title screens with pad, even though configured. I could do this in vanilla (perhaps because it’s configured outside the game?).

one thing i find odd is in vanilla, you can just use the “A” button to confirm, and B to back out, now you have to use “light kick” for confirm and med kick for back out, which is bad if you use different buttons for them.

Seems Feng Shui Engine isn’t working.

She glows purple but all her move properties are normal, they don’t chain.

It would be nice to return control of the “Street Fighter IV”, when the button “accept”, “back” buttons and other controls have been fixed.

Feng Shui was a false alarm on my part.

I think this is legit though: the start and select buttons for keyboard 1 and 2 don’t seem to work while watching replays (to skip intro or access the menu), I have to press start on my game controller.

Yes they had an option in vanilla to assign the 1P device, I want them to re-add that in AE, you just press A on 1P device and the game knows it.

Got a USB Saturn Pad for the PC, works perfectly. But i am noticing that some moves are way harder to pull off then some others, especially if you switch from left to right or the way around. Example: Adon’s Jaguar Kick seems to be bugged. Cause i can easily pull of a Rising Jaguar from either side. You guys noticed any of these strange things? Same goes for half circle motions with some characters. Or the controls are just really tight and i am getting rusty.

When I play SSF4 AE PC for about 3+ hours I am not able to join a game or create a lobby anymore no matter how many times I try.Only when I leave and restart the game,I am able to join games again.Does anyone else got this problem?

All these problems with controller/stick issues still, but my main problem has been HORRIBLE FPS. I bench mark 110+ fps on current settings, yet in my matches it stutters down to an unplayable speed. I’ve even lowered my settings down to the minimum on EVERYTHING and it STILL happens. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe a re-install of the game? THIS is why I’ve always preferred console gaming over PC gaming, but I was hoping to have a “portable” version of SF4AE for my work travels…

By the way, I’m using the Steam version, on a Dell XPS i5-2410 laptop w/ 6gb RAM, 2gb dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M… the laptop is only like a month or two old, so I didn’t think I’d have any kind of problems playing this game…

Try to make sure you are fully signed into GWFL before moving onto the main menu, I think it might have something to do with that, but I do not have the same problems.

Agreed. To be fair though, nearly all pc games I’ve seen have this mistake…?
