Also, I was wondering if any of you guys know what went on in the Daigo vs. Afrolegends match up. I keep hearing that it was a “must see.” Was it just really good? close? or did something controversial happen? What were the characters used?
What was Tokido’s CE Bison like? Was he using the 7-hit redizzy combo a lot?
Who took out Watts? Choi? Cole?

Daigo beat me fair and square. I didn’t think I would get nervous playing against him but it is easier said then done, lol. I had some butterflies and I was messing a lot of stuff up like Rog’s headbutt multiple times. I think how I played was uncharacteristic because execution is something I am proud of but what can you do? I lost to Daigo and I have no shame. This EVO woke me up and I got some hunger back. Next year, I will be ready.
P.S. I wanna congratulate Alex Wolfe for winning the tourney. He was the best player there and deserved it. I had a fun time, and it was nice meeting all you cats. Until next year. :rock:
Yeah EVO was great and it was nice meeting some of you guys. Congrats to all the winners. I was wondering if you ever tried playing ST on Kaillera/MAME for fun. I know it’s online and there’s lagg and everything, but just to pass the time and for stress relief.
I have seen Afrolegends on there once and only once. He kicked my ass with most of the roster before we got disconnected and I never saw him again.
I think the only matches I won first try were 'Sim VS 'Sim and 'Sim VS 'Gief.
Most of the top players stay away from it because it tends to develop bad habits with timing and whatnot, and most of them have arcades that they can go to regularly so they don’t really need it.
I know some do play it, but only on excellent and only with people they know.
The only top level player who’s on regularly is DGV really.
There’s apparently also 2 European guys who are also around his level.

yeah i was really disappointed in my performance, mainly because people prolly thought i wasnt that good lol. I got too nervous when i was playing nelson third game. And vega vs ce bison is a match where you cant make mistakes or hesitate. Well st is a much more enjoyable version, hopefully thats what we switch to next year.
I’m glad i got to meet some of the people on these boards like NKI, afrolegends and the other guys i met. Its nice to see some players with skills, in my area we got 5 people total thats including my bro and me that can play st against each other. So you kinda know what to expect after a while hehe.
NKI, Did you enjoy doing the little convo thing with daigo? i know it took alot of your time and energy, it was something ill prolly never forget, thanks again for making it happen.
Yeah, I actually learned a lot from that conversation. I had never really sat down and talked to him at length before. I certainly didn’t know Ani-Ken used to play Boxer…

i talked to a korean player from korea and he told me that those ce edition players were just unique to that one small arcade and that most of the country plays st of those who still play =) thank god.

yeah the ‘korean player from korea’ yes there are korean players in america to the wise ass who thought he was witty, he came over from korea and he played against us at evo, he wasnt bad and we had a small talk about their scene there.

Saying a “player from Korea” would of done the job, no? It would of implied he was from korea and infact korean. If he was infact anything else like, Chinese. You could say a “Chinese player from Korea”. As someone from Korea doesn’t imply their Chinese. Anyway lesson over, hope that cleared some things up for you :lovin:
