Super Street Fighter 4 Music

I say we need a new age jazz rock hardcore screamo sound track with gentle classical over tones.

in my opinion Music is by preference…

i think that sf2 music is the best because Music+stage+character all fit so well that it is known as ONE. For the music to be great, it has to be personal to that character.

i think most of the music is SF3 sucks but that’s my preference/opinion. The only one I think is ok is ryu’s and makato. All the rest are too slow and jazzy… doesn’t tie in with the characters. For example, Ken’s music is SF2 defined him with rush, that’s exactly how ken is, perfect fit. In SF3, the slow soothing music doesn’t match his personality at all. Sharing stages is definitely a no no.

and lastly speaking of music, the original music for MVC2 is the worse, but i guess ppl who play mvc2 could care less for the music. It just sounds like it’s from a slow/soft pace cute adventure game where as mcv2 is a fast pace action fighting game.

for super sf4’s music to be successful, capcom should designate a STAGE for each CHARACTER and produce a score that blends the two together as one. As for now, i don’t even know how the music in sf4 sounds like cause 1) it’s in the background and 2)it doesn’t stick like sf2 did because all characters in sf4 share stages and music.
CAPCOM… Must NOT be cheap on stages and music. NO sharing please.!!!

these is my opinion only

please just get rid of that horrible indestructable song.i think its killing me

“This is the true love we’re making”

Ken’s theme in sf2 and sfex was pretty rock’n. Sf3… not so much. Ken’s an aggressive rush down character. His music should reflect that.

I prefer following SFEX2A+ and SF3:NG/SI myself.
Relate it to the characters but be original with it.

Though honestly my favorite track in the former, Strange Sunset, has nothing to do with the character but just the stage itself.

I dunno guys. I kind of liked the fact that SF4 had new tracks, I mean how many times have all of us heard the same Ryu, Ken, etc. themes over the past decade+? It’s nice for stuff not to be recycled. Sure, I love the original themes and I get pretty hyped hearing Bison’s and Sagat’s theme on the SF4 soundtrack, but do we really need all the classic themes remixed yet again? It’s memorable, but maybe we need some new music and give it the time it needs to become memorable as well.

honestly, i loved sf4 music. I also loved 3s, and hdr!. Maybe im a sf junky, despite how much people put down sf4 opening theme song. i love it, it reminds me of an awesome 90s action/ disney movie sound to it. at my best friend’s wedding they are playing it at the reception, he already told me. SO i hope ssf4 has similar music to sf4

They just need to add SFA2 soundtrack and they are ready to go =D

they need to hire Masaaki Endoh or Cystal King to do the title theme

i even switched it to the japanese version just so i didnt have to understand the words:rofl:

then i found out you can set the background music to anything you have on your hard drive…so it doesn’t really bother me anymore because i listen to my own music.

The character themes usually only play in Rival battles, cinematics, and in some challenge mode stages, but then not everyone has had their theme remixed.

Character-specific music would be preferred to stage-specific music, with the thought being that every character would also have their own unique stage as well. Hopefully, the previous sentence will become true for Super, but I would also like to see new themes for existing Characters.

The SFII themes are classic and most of the remixes in IV are decent, but I want to hear new themes as opposed to just a twist on their older ones, like what was done in SFA3 where everyone got new music.

Oh yeah, and the title theme is meh. I’d rather hear an epic battle-esque theme like the Volcanic Rim remix that came on after the J-pop ended in the intro. They can just skip on the decision to include the latter kind in their next game.

No
The best and cheapest way to do it right:
Let the fans make the OST for FREE.
Anyone listening to HD Remix’s OST knows how good a deal that is.

i agree 110% remake ryu ,ken and boxers stage.

THIS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Also, as for my music tastes (for those of you who give a shit):

SSF2T themes:
Ken
Ryu
Cammy
Boxer
Claw
Akuma

SFA3 themes:
Brave or Grave (Final Bison)
Groan (Shin Akuma)
Black Power (Evil Ryu)
Gimmick (Rolento)
Simple Rating (Karin)
Doll Eyes (Cammy)
The Road (Ryu)

SFEX themes (all of them are damn good in their own right, but these stand out imo):
God Hands (Akuma)
Irreconcilably (Bison)
Stronger (Garuda)
Rising Dragoon (Ryu)
Guardian of Light (Ken)
Arabesque (Pullum)
Passage of Lotus (Kairi)
Sakura Mankai (Hokuto)

SF3 themes:
Giant Attack (Shin Akuma [SF3:SI])
Killing Moon (Akuma)
You Blow My Mind (Dudley)
Kobu (Ryu)
Psych Out (Gill)
China Vox (Chun Li)

SF4 themes:
Drive-In
Trainyard
Volcanic Rim
Training Stage (heh.)

Remixes of the character’s themes should just go in, for nostalgia’s sake.

SFA3 Ryu’s Stage.

The character themes in Street Fighter IV are fuckin AMAZING. Gief’s theme played on the Saxophone is sexy.

Too bad you NEVER get to here those awesome songs in multiplayer. The stage music was trash.

I hope Super SFIV fixes that and allows you to here your character’s themes instead of the awful stage music.

I liked SFIV’s music. I was disappointed though that not everyone had a theme and that Guile’s theme was too slow for my tastes. Regardless, Viper easily has the best theme.

My name is Viper.
Crimson Viper
I have no fear.
There’s no way OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!

Use some of that character theme music for the actual stages (maybe edited a bit for this release), i’d love to fight while listening to the Fei Long theme song.
