At my work, somebody actually bought an original Street Fighter 2 Turbo arcade cabinet and we all play it here at work.

Does anybody know where I can find a ST one? I prefer that game:)

IMO theres no point in getting the arcade cabinet of HF when u can jus download it from the XBLA n play it online theres always mad people on afterall it IS the most downloaded XBLA game:tup:

OP: if you’re planning on buying the parts separately, in addition to the ST board you’ll need the CPS2 motherboard and a kick harness

Thanks! I guess I shouldn’t have been so lazy and just googled/jeeves’d it ages ago :rofl: I take it from that link that CPS1 and CPS2 games use a different kick harness? So like, if the OP was going to replace the HF board with the ST board he’d also have to replace the kick harness too, right?

You got it.

ST is a fairly uncommon game so it may take a little time to find. Do note that phoenix’ed versions of either ST or X allow switching between the 2 regions without any problems, so it may be easier to just get a phoenix’ed X if you really can’t find ST. However, a normal version of X, besides having the suicide battery, is not entirely identical to ST (with English text, free play, different speed options, Zangief’s u+HP dizzy property, etc).

Having a real hyperfighting cab is quite obviously much better than a PS1 port of hyperfighting with total ass net play.

Also, thank you to the few of you who recognize that HF and ST are different games. I think people just see Street Fighter and assume I mean HF. I thought my request was clear, but anyway…I’m not sure where to get parts, the actual arcade, etc. Would I have to spend more than 400 to get a decent one?
