Oh no… please… not a male Wii fit trainer… That better be an alternate costume for female Wii fit trainer, it would be such a waste of a character slot if he ends being his own…
Waste of a character slot is a stupid saying.
Shadow alt for sonic…plz :X
That when chosen forces all stage music to become “All Hail Shadow”
Not gonna lie. I was hoping for some kind of Luigi’s Mansion reference in honor of Halloween.
What, nothing exciting happens and you all decide to not care about an update? Shame.

Pic of the day. Kid Icarus: Uprising is now available to download via eShop in Japan. By the way, we gave a makeover to Pit’s pose when he’s shooting his bow and arrow so it looks sharper. Do note that all images are still in development. This and past pics may be different from the finished product. Thanks for understanding.
Dr. Mario’s existence in SSBM is even stupider.
That Pit pic just reminds me why I really like his visual design. Probably going to use him as my main character.
The WFT Male pic is very encouraging, because while it doesn’t confirm what we’ve been talking about… it’s an incredibly strong hint in favor of alternate costumes. We can put Lyn on Marth’s move set, Peppy on Fox’s, whatever. If that ends up being the case, it’s a win for everyone involved; you get your character of choice, while the devs don’t have to waste time balancing another true addition to the roster. I would totally be fine with alternate costumes representing various characters whose game-of-origin fighting styles are close to how their ‘host character’ (e.g. Roy pasted onto Marth) behaves in Smash.
I really wish Nintendo would make a sequel to Uprising, that game was fantastic.
Pic of the day. Is this a spaceship from Hocotate? No-this is a bomb SHAPED like a spaceship. After liftoff, it will drop down when you least expect it.
So they basically turned part of Olimar’s Final Smash into an item. LOL.
Sakurai posted a strip picture today showcasing our favorite new smasher

Photo strip of the day. Plant it, water it, and then timber! It’s high maintenance but totally worth the effort! It needs tactics like never before
I’m curious as to how long the tree stays on the stage because this really be crazy. You’re fighting someone like normal and you knock them off the stage and it takes a moment for them to get back…so you plant a tree on the edge while they’re trying to recover. This pretty much forces them to have to come over the tree because if they try to come up from underneath the stage you’ll just drop the tree on them. If they happen to make it past you, that sucks but if the tree is still there and you’re good at spacing and manipulation then you can just work the opponent back over that edge.
Is the planting and watering separate actions?
After Smash launches, no one will look be disrespecting Arbor day.
it looks like a chain special if that makes sense…like marth’s sword dance
could be that foward b plants, forward b again waters, time passes and tree grows, forward b chops tree
What I’m curious about is if the tree creates a physical obstacle.
Seriously…If I’m playing a free for all and I happen to have Villager and there’s 2 people fighting over the ledge. I’m going to be that asshole that leaves the opponent he’s fighting to come all the way over there at the first chance to try to drop a tree on both of them.
Let’s take a look at how long it takes for the tree to grow…
He plants the tree at 3:42 and that shit is full grown in 2 seconds. Then I also forgot for a moment that this guy can drop bowling balls on people AND it’s not connected to his body. It’s like Villager was made to be a complete and total asshole for people trying to approach the ledge from the bottom. If he knocks you off the stage and you’re underneath it then he doesn’t have to do a damn thing. He can just sit on the ledge all day and be a dick lmao.
I don’t know about it being too powerful since you have to get the tip to touch (and on the first few frames?). I don’t use Link, but it seems to me that this ability shouldn’t be removed. From what I’ve heard about Link in previous games is that he needs more KO power.
Link had plenty of KO power and combo power Melee. After most characters hit the 100% mark he could just down throw and spin attack to kill them off. He was definitely lacking KO power in everything save for down air and the second hit of his forward Smash. Giving Link a just frame down smash would be interesting since he gave Toon Link one in Brawl. It’s probably going to depend on what the KO power is on his other moves and what options he has especially for ledge guarding.
