Normally, anyone with half a brain cell should assume it would get delayed till 2015, but with the Wii U on life support, Nintendo can’t afford a delay on Smash, Iwata is definitely trying to keep his job by cracking the whip on Sakurai extra hard.
Mewtwo is cool, but from,a game play point, his built in comeback mechanic is a lot more fun and interesting than Mewtwo’s play style. Now move set wise that is debatable.

Fuck’em if they make the roster smaller then Brawl, no reason to go backwards besides maybe the mandate to have the 3DS and Wii U rosters be the same, primarily because 3DS is king across all consoles and handhelds in Japan. Hopefully this is just a rumor.
On the recent reveal, love it primarily for the laughter it creates from Mewtwo fans, still not as funny as if it would have been a completely different pokemon but I’ll take it.
Lucario’s comeback mechanic wasn’t really beneficial until he hit a percentage he couldn’t live through.
