Today is also the 15th anniversary of Smash.
Sakurai: Today is the 15th Anniversary of the launch of the first Super Smash Bros. There may be some players out there who played it on the Nintendo 64 as kids that have grown into adults.
Some people set themselves up for disappointment in knowing that today was the 15th anniversary and thinking that wed be getting something special today. SMH
Nintendo takes their anniversaries pretty seriously.

If anybody still hasn’t seen the Smash movie, I recommend it greatly. Very well produced.
A friend wanted me to go to APEX with him on Sunday to play ST, but I would have had to rush my ass to Penn station to meet him lol. Anyways, I watched all 3 days of smash yesterday, obviously skipping most of the pools, but I realized Melee, Brawl, and especially 64 get really boring after watching for a few hours. The semifinals and up of each tournament were ridiculously hype though.
Jiggly vs Kirby in 64 is really boring from a spectators POV, it’s cool for 5 minutes until you realize how repetitive it is.
I was surprised no one in the crowd nor the commentators gave M2K shit for raging when he was down 3 stocks that one game. M2K did not play to win.
Metaknight mirrors are really fucking hype. At the high level Metaknight’s supposed brokenness kind of disappears for the most part. I wasn’t surprised to see M2K abuse tornado lol best move in the game, a friend I used to play with called it the auto AHVB 
Melee way more hype than Brawl and especially 64 to watch. I really thought Moyashi should have stuck with Kirby, he could have won the whole thing with him. I really wish an Ice climbers player won though as he is my favorite character to watch in Melee and Brawl.
I think I only like watching 64 when Isai is playing.
FYI I’ve rarely watched high level smash before, let alone as long as I did yesterday, I’m sure there have been some hype matches over the years that I should check out, but pool play with randoms is whack like most other fighting games lol.

I don’t really follow competitive Smash, but it looks like it’s just something M2K does so much it’s come to the point that no one really cares that he does it anymore. It’s his loss, anyway.
When was the last time M2K rage quit in tournament? His Sheik usually makes others bow out. Leaving on kast stock isnt that uncommon. Especially in a game so momentum based. Same shit in Marvel.

M2K doesnt comeback. Hes a computer for a reason. When he isnt dominating 100% he is cracking. Its funny how they talk about this trait in the documentary too. He is too calculating and when his plan isnt going right its almost like he can’t compose.

DK can KO Falco off the top of the screen with a sweetspot 9-wind punch at 17%. K. Rool killing in 2 smashes isn’t that farfetched. I just want him in the damned game, 2-smash-KO or not.
