I’m loving how the attempt to make the Villager look innocent and cheerful ended up making him look a bit creepy and soulless.
Reminds me of Pac-Man in SFxT, hopefully Nintendo doesn’t do what Capcom did and take an incredibly awesome design and shit on it by making the character complete ass.
Also, I hope this is a working title and they add in a little subtitle.
Those salty kids over at Smashboards are already starting their bitching about this game. Over analyzing shit that don’t need analyzing. I am so glad I stopped playing Smash seriously years ago… it just sucks all the fun out of it.
That’s what I get for trying to share my Mega Man hype with them.
How anyone who considers themselves a gamer could complain about a game that perfectly captures the essence of Mega Man better than Capcom has in years obviously has “Stop Having Fun Guy” syndrome.
Knuckles is the realest nigga in Sonic, but I’d still much rather see Shadow. I feel like they could do something really incredible with his playstyle. Chaos Control shenanigans and whatnot.
Though, I would not at all object to a Knuckles with grapple heavy/slow but powerful playstyle. That’d actually be pretty sick.
The whole “Sakurai says the roster will be smaller than Brawl” thing leads me to believe that the “clone/rival” characters will be mostly gone.
Wolf is definitely gone.
Lucas is definitely gone–Nintendo doesn’t want to acknowledge the existence of Mother 3 anymore because they’ll never ever be able to release the game outside of Japan.
Luigi is probably an exception because he has his own recent games they wanna promote, plus he was in the original Smash.
Ike is definitely gone. Their whole model of including FE characters seems to be Marth + the Lord of whatever the newest FE they want to promote is. So we can expect Chrom, though he should have an entirely different style from Marth. If anything, they should include Tiki as the FE13 representative because she would be guaranteed to have a completely different style and the developers would probably enjoy making her transformation gimmick work.
Pac-Man is virtually a lock as the second 3rd Party character (no way Namco is developing this and NOT promoting one of their own characters), and I don’t see Snake or Sonic coming back if they really wanna keep the roster smaller while still adding new characters.
Unless they want adapt the Capcom/FGC DLC model of having a smaller roster to begin, and then releasing high-demand DLC characters later as a way to keep the game fresh. If future DLC characters is their plan, then I would expect Sonic and Snake to be put in due to demand.
I still intend to return to some regionals for smash, if I get the chance, I so far have no complaints, nor have I stole the fun out of anything as far as I can see.
