Yoshi is gonna be in it, based off the “ending music.” No question.
except, we did have MAch Rider’s theme in SSBM during the Mute City stage, though. So… but yoshi’s already an existing smash character that was an unlockable, he is 99% going to be in SSBB.
Yoshi was selectable by default in Melee.
who ever doubted yoshi would be in the game? he was a default in SSBM and in SSB64
i doubt they would get rid of any of the OG characters from 64, if they do get rid of some characters i would bet it would be some of the duplicate characters like falco and roy, or some of the obscure/ less popular characters like game & watch and ice climbers

Edit- no one uses Yoshi. I’ve played the game since the first day it dropped, I played the 64 one since the first day IT dropped, and I’ve NEVER known someone to use yoshi as their main, ever. I’d say he’s one of the least played characters in the series.

I actually ran into quite a few people that used Yoshi back in SSB64 and one or two in Melee. Hell, I used to use Yoshi before Samus and Kirby owned my soul in 64 and Marth and Kirby in Melee.
The funniest shit ever is when the black madden kids come in and challenge us yo ‘Throw some money down on a game.’ I’ve literally won 50 bucks at least from people who downright cannot play the game, at all, but feel compelled to compete with others who have been playing the game 7 years lol. How arrogant do you have to be…

Nice! Seen a few eps of the Pokemon marathon cartoon network ran over the weekend so I got Pokemon on the brain lately. :looney:
I believe that part of that is foreshortening, though I am beginning to think that they are making quite a few more things “bigger” to have them be more uniform in size with other competitors, i.e. Pikachu and Kirby (though they were only a head shorter than Link in Melee, at least with regards to the former).
Groundon was always huge, but I don’t think it was that big. It’s not like they haven’t made some of the larger Pokemon even bigger, as seen with Snorlax or Marill, though it generally seems to be for the sake of attacks.
It will be funny when they add the new Pokemon–yes, when–because I think a lot of people probably be confused and think “another Pokemon? But this one isn’t even legendary…?”
The more I think about it, the more I just realized that we’ll probably get Lucario if this game goes as far as Diamond & Pearl since they seem to be promoting that thing out the ass and it’s also part of a movie (and it is also bipedal).
If this thing doesn’t go as far Diamond & Pearl, then I unfortunately have a feeling that it will be Mime-san (only using the Japanese in this case because the distinction makes sense in this case) given how popular that damn thing is in the anime. That would be…interesting, since it would probably the most defensive thing in the game with those barrier abilities. (Largest R Shield for the win?)
Speaking of which, have we even seen what the new shielding/blocking system looks like? I really can’t remember (anything as of late, apparently).

Oh I know this personally. I especially loved when they did this in barbershops. (they usually have Smash for the kiddies) and then they’ll be like, “Yo why the hell you playing this shitty-ass game for? Lemme play some Madden cuz I’m the best at both games but Madden is a man’s game SON!” And then I make a deal where if he can take me off the game I would allow them to play… then it turned into if they could take off one stock… >_>
