Yeah but not the year they are celebrating it, they are celebrating it in 2008. If I were to take a guess why, it’s prolly with Capcom USA having the rights and '88 being the year SF1 was released in the US. For the 15th Anniversary Japan celebrated it a year before us and rightly so, but that’s not the case this time for whatever reason.
2008 is supposed to be the big year with a bunch of SF stuff coming to celebrate it that we don’t exactly know what everything is yet (don’t expect SF4 goes without saying) including that Chun-Li SF movie that’s rumored to star Jessica Biel. to Jessica Biel playing Chun-Li BTW if that rumor is true… I hate you Hollywood…
Eh I just hope they drop another SF artbook in 2008, hopefully in '08 I’ll still be busy playing HD ST, Brawl and the new KOF promising new sprites for everybody if everything works out.
Uh… Pokemon Stadium is already in the game (seen in the 2nd trailer). If it’s not, it’ll probably be in the Debug mode. As for Corneria, the Starfox inspired stage looks like it’s entering the atmosphere of Corneria.
I would say that Samus is likely my “main” despite not playing Smash competitively (yet?); I fully intend to try out Zero Suit Samus (or whatever the name was/is) first chance I get despite not being a huge Metroid fan.
Speaking of which, I’m not a huge Zelda fan, but moderately use all the males from that series; Shiek/Zelda can go to Hell.
Other than that, I’ve mainly played around frequently enough with everyone not named Donkey Kong (who I just don’t play as often enough), Luigi (who pisses me off and whose fighting style I hate), and Mr. Game and Watch (nothing much again him).
I’ve been using both Peach and Mewtwo less and less, though. Don’t know why.
(I’ve haven’t played in a month or two as well, but that’s gotten rather common.)
i wonder if there will be a way to set the speed of the time changes in the Battlefield stage…
Very often a gorup of smashers will start playing in the afternoon and keep playing into the morning of the next day and sometimes into the afternoon of the next day. It’d be interesting if the in-game time matched real time.
