Metaknight seems like he might need to be played precisely to be effective. Hopefully, his rapid attack doesn’t end with some silly-ass pose that take up a ton of recovery time.
having to hold down the button doesn’t mean it’s dumbed down. it could mean that you have to be even more strict with your timing. imagine if everybody was like this, most characters have a decent jab but a fairly useless AA combo and their AAA combo is usually even more useless because it’s either not a true combo like doc for example or it does some stupid rapid fire crap that has a huge recovery time like sheik or fox. captain falcon is the only one that has a useful AAA combo cause you can cancel the rapid fire part.
I don’t know what metaknight’s combo is but it could very well be that only the jab part of it is any useful and doing anything more than that would not be useful. if that is the case then just the fact that holding down the button is all that’s needed to do the combo will lead to more mistakes. Again, I don’t know if that’s the case but holding down the button to do a combo doesn’t mean it’s dumbed down.

Its a choice between holding A and pressing it 3 to 4 times in a row. That not ‘dumbed down’.

For the last couple of updates it has been kinda…meh. But with E3 this week something nasty this way comes. Not that Mr. Wright or new ways to do combos haven’t been interesting. But I need that “Oh, snap let me call the fam up, or scream outside my door like I have no sense.” And hopefully E3 will provide that feeling for me. But hell I’m glad I’m getting info on the game that will make me late to stuff and own my life. And I want the Duck Hunt Dog for an Assist Trophy. Or maybe Gooey and Rick.
