A lot of the rest are far too flat in the composition (the worst offender being Pit’s Theme), and those that aren’t strike me as far too jolly and silly. Very reminiscent of MVC2.

I’d love to love the rest but I’m just not feeling it.

I really like the Fire Emblem theme, along with some of the Wario Ware ones. As a huge Metal Gear fan though, I was a little disappointed with the love theme. It gets good eventually, but for the first half or so, you could replace it with any number of tracks from the Pirates of the Caribbean flicks and nobody would notice.

Listen to it again, it will hit you hard.

No. Its just for one thing they have less paths then Sonic 2 and the paths are just moving back and forth as you travel up… makes toddling gamers get confused and it even sucks some of the moving closer to the goal feeling out of it for the older players. Most of the levels in Sonic 3 weren’t very visually appealing either and their order just wasn’t as memorable as other Sonic games. I liked Ice Cap and I liked Carnival Night… but thats about it… Hydrocity zone act 2 was fun I guess.

The Brawl theme just strikes me as too pretentious. I mean for God’s sake no matter grand the aspirations for this game, it still has Pikachu fighting Yoshi in an Animal Crossing village. There’s no way you can take the game THAT seriously.
I love the Latin Fire Emblem theme, though.

Also the soundtrack doesn’t seem to be very unified…but I guess it’s natural since it’s pretty much meant to be a clusterfuck of every single Japanese VGMusic composer even worth a mention.

Sonic’s themes better from the REAL Sonic games, not those post-Sonic Adventure pieces of shit.

According to the custom stage update, “Snowman” from Mother is also in the game. They better not fuck that theme up.

It’s good to get an offical look at the stage. That new Mario Kart for Wii will be the shit when it drops. I wonder though can you hit a Shy Guy Kart into your opponents? And what are the My Music choices for this stage? Hopefully some remixes of the SNES version of Rainbow Road, Koopa Beach, and the SNES Battle Mode Music.
