Super Smash Bros. Brawl thread v2. wii want it now

^ Yuck, no way dude you got bad taste. That game was clunky and akward, its umplayable compared to melee.

Oh, please. Not you too. You’re beginning to talk like Embryo: Like you know how the game will be before it’s even officially out.

And please don’t try and defend yourself by attempting to talk about how everyone acknowledges the demo is slower than Melee. It’s a demo, first of all, meaning that speed is subject to change and, more importantly, there’s nothing to say that relatively slower speed won’t eventually grow on you; the latter may even supercede your apparent need for speed in Melee.

Um…Damned…He is saying he liked the slower speed of Smash Bro’s compared to Melees much faster pace…Hes not syaing its deffaite …just that he wouldnt mind it being slower. Hes certainly not damning the game like Embryo is.

nah you’re just a dumbass… it happens.

uhhh… you wanna read that again dude? if the demo is slower than melee than i like that

the hell?

holy hell

smash tv, with ONLINE GAMBLING

is there anything this game doesnt do hahaha.

(actual information: you can go on wifi and just spectate matches continuosly, basically streaming smash matches, and before the match begins, you can bet coins on them, and results from the betting gets collected by the Nintendo for the data collection on said spectator mode)

Stupidity happens.

Sorry about that. I’ve been more tired than usual this week and today was an especially bad day.

Oh well, my mistake is better than us having another stupid troll that’s finally going to be banned.

it’s cool man

i understand

sweet update

damn you nintendo and your stupid online policies. I’d kill myself after 5 minutes of watching random scrubs playing. It doesn’t even say you can spectate people on your friends list. They atleast have to have that.

ah wait…yea thanks for knocking some sense into me. I was too psyched to watch constant matches that i didnt note that we wouldnt be able to choose who to watch…

ah well…at least the concept was novel

oh shit you’re right… that’s really dissapointing

here’s to hopinng =\

Smash TV? BIG CASH!!! BIG PRIZES!!!

I wish.

At the end of the day…I’m still gonna be playing my character regardless of what tier he is…=D

dammit…the bad ass music is canceling out the bad ass voice and it’s hard to fuckin hear him lol

eh…you’re not the only one…but I don’t think it was necessarily the speed in smash that I liked I think it was more…the way how gravity worked in that game and combos seem to come a bit more natural. That’s from my stand point though

Update for tonight…I halfway nearly creamed myself…and i find it funny that the lone thought of watching scrubs play halfway killed the hype for this new feature in this thread lol. It’s gonna be mad fun either way putting up money on characters for who will win…BET IT! It makes watching matches a bit more interactive…sucks that you can’t see names and stuff though. I can see this becoming…somewhat addictive lil side game…and i can see possibilities of just having my wii running with matches of the game playing when I just feel like watching others play or I’m busy with other stuff like homework. I just hop on the net and start watching matches and placing bets. I’m hoping for a Find friends option or something where you can watch a match that one of your buddies is in. Add this in Sakurai and this game will be even more top tier.

Bet It On Smash, Son

On Metaknight not being about to KO effectively:

From what I saw in the videos, it looks like most of his specials don’t do much in terms of knock back, but they do seem to do decent damage and recover fast enough. Plus they all have massive mobility, and mobility, to me, seems like one of the most important things in smash.

His Smash attacks are actually pretty strong from what I saw though, He’s got a forward smash that looks like Marth’s old forward smash, albeit shorter, and he also had some quick side swiping smash where he sweeps it from left to right really fast and I noticed it KOed all 3 opponents he was fighting that happened to be on top of him, and they were all at like 80%.

So yeah, he’s looking to be all around good. Hopefully he doesn’t get nerfed in the final version >_<

I’m glad nintendo is finally beefing their online options up with spectator mode, but why can’t we still see other players names? Seriously, not being able to see your opponents names in a match takes out a lot of the experience. Online gaming is meant to be a social thing, but that purpose is kind of defeated when you can’t even tell what each others names are at the very least.

Best update this week. Sakurai is teaching kids how to go to Vegas, bet on the wrong horse, and get DAT ASS busted. Damn, I wish I could bet on other people in the match I’m in and throw the fight. Getting all Don King like and shit. I’m actually excited to bet and watch random matches. Like I said it’s like horse racing. Just without the horses and the racing. And with cartoon violence and Internet Gangstaz.

This update sucks. You can only spectate in “anyone” mode, so not only can you not choose who you watch, you can’t see who the players are. And also, you only see the matches that are pre-screened by Nintendo, not matches as they are happening.

This week was balls.

…seriously.

Truth.

lol In a year after Brawl’s release Spectator Matches might be fun, for causal players this is an awesome addition. I gotta hand it to HAL, they are really trying hard on this one.

I think this is dope, I can see some shit that I probably never seen before…or some 10 year old mashing buttons…
