The way I understood it, it only seemed as if Sonic needed the gym in order to focus his power. Not that just any gem would do, but I didn’t take it as the fake gym having power on it’s own, just that it had the right structure for amplification purposes.
OH YEEEAHH…that’s right i remember that intro now…eh…i guess that will have to do…can’t have his entrance being too flashy and outshining everyone.
And i already said something earlier about the characters in terms of their knowledge of emerald usage (not counting eggman since he uses it for machines instead of to further make himself stronger…or lose weight…>.>) Shadow and knux are the top 2…even though sonic did chaos control with a fake emerald he didn’t know what the hell he was doing and took a shot in the dark (didn’t really have much of a choice in his situation)…Silver tried and did it as well but was probably influenced by shadow doing it at the same time…Haven’t seen blaze do anything with the chaos emeralds but sol emeralds seem to have similiar properties. So from my end it goes Knux/Shadow, Sonic, Silver, Tails (he at least went super in S3&k but needed super emeralds to do so)

Ahhh…kirby superstar…Nintendo just give me another game like this one but with more movesets per ability…PLEASE!?
And oh man…I reeeeally wish they would give kirby the ability to suck up items and access the other abilites that way…he’d probably be the most versatile character since his movesets could be ever changing…it’d be easy to just have all of the special moves for a particular ability mapped to the neutral,up, down and forward positions. But like i said before I’m a bit reserved on that as the same time cause while that be more true to his character and he’d be a blast…I wonder if that’d make him too top tier in the future…cause i can imagine some retarded shit occuring…Think Shang Tsung from MK2 and you sorta get where my fear is coming from. Upon looking at those videos too it reminded me of kirby’s crash and mike abilities…those would have probably been just as broke as the cooking final smash lol…with the latter being more funny. Here’s to hoping that they at least have kirby doing the third mike attack with the green mohawk as a taunt or something.

-_-…‘sucking up items’ doesn’t have to just pertain to items that show up on the battlefield…you seem to forget about Link and his bombs, boomerangs, and arrows…(oh my). Mario throws fireballs. Sheik (if he/she/it…is in) throws needles. Ness (again if he’s in) throws lightning and electric balls. Fox shoots lasers. etc…and even if they aren’t featured in gameplay doesn’t mean kirby couldn’t suck up some hazard from the stage and get the ability. But i’m sure there would be some abilities he’d only be able to get from certain appearable items but oh well thems the breaks for competitive play. Not everybody plays this game competitively…and before i go any further cause it feels like it’s leading into an old topic that’s been done again and again in this thread i’m gonna stab it and kill it now.

Why would it even have to be gaining powers? I think it would work just fine if it were like Anakaris’s Echo Back, absorbing the projectile for later use.

…even though in terms of story progression wise i doubt that those 2 did obtain those forms…however I wouldn’t go so far as to say that they weren’t canon…The fact that they were even in the game to begin with at least lets us know that the form exists. It’s all about that Grapple Kirby. In Brawl, with all his throws working on the characters, items and having his stomp attack he’d be a god. Shit, they should make him (or the big ass bug where you get his power) a playable character. Not even DK would fuck with him.

Nah, I haven’t fpr got about Knouckles it’s just that I’m pretty much gonna say he can’t transform using the emerelds. I mean EVERY Sonic game since SA has had Sonic/hedgehogs use the emerelds to transform. I’m gonna take that as a clear cut sign that he can’t transform. I mean in Sonic Heroes, it even looked like Sonic gave Knuckles and Tails Chaos energy, but they didn’t transform.
