A colleague of mine said something to the effect of, “Kotaku is a great news site written by five-year-olds.” I would tend to agree.
“Mommy, Mommy, looook, look at what I found!”
That’s how I sum up Kotaku in a nutshell
Eh, as stupid as my post was, Nintendo still needs to step their damn game up. This is pretty much the only Wii game until a new Mario or Zelda comes out for a lot of people.
More companies need to embrace the World Wide Release anyway, especially for Triple A titles such as Brawl.
Well at least we know they will have lots and lots for people in America.
One more week to be depressed because Capt. Falcon died in the opening cinematic (Just pulling this out of my ass, not a rumor or anything).
Snake looks…solid, no pun intended. I love the Shadow Moses theme, and it’s great to get the Isles theme as well.
So far I expect this game to be every bit as good as it looks, and eagerly wait to play it.
Sharing some goods from Brawl Central. Goods are as follows, and I bolded what I thought would be of interest.
- this and pictures available @ brawlcentral.com
So…Dedede, Ivysaur and Zelda are basically bad-asses AND we got seemingly yet another interesting defensive option through air-dodging at the right time. First legit AT confirmed?
-Zelda’s heel (forward air) has been buffed.
I got that from Brawl Central. Are u serious? Y buff that crazy ass move? Hope they buff the KNEE. That would be insane.
Wow, great info there CyberAkuma. I got’s to pimp Ivysaur out now!
Holy shit @ DeDeDe’s f-smash. Though looking at Zelda’s I remember her aerials in Melee were the same way and she was hardly top tier (probably because you had to sweet spot those moves or else they did piddly damage/knockback. I wonder if Dedede and Ivysaur are going to have to sweetspot or something like that too. Or maybe just have retarded startup like Ganondorf’s Melee U-tilt.
…seriously.
P.S.: Ooh! Olimar has normal weight! Sweet!
Wow, im surprised no one paid mind to Lucas. For a normal weight and speed character, he has a lot of ko’ing options at under 100 percent.
Buffing Zelda’s air forwards and backs sounds good, gotta give people incentive to play her over shiek.
And now Dedede…he has waddle dee spam and the strongest move in the game thus far, jeez. and i see how Kirby’s hammer was buffed, it has good killing potential now!
Damn metaknight’s a light weight and seems to take a lot to KO someone. Hopefully he’s got a nice spike or something to make up for that.
Oh and does anyone else get the feeling subspace emissary will take all of like…10 minutes to beat?
Lucas and surprisingly Kirby are the guys I’m wondering will take the cake on power/speed balance.
Fox still has that devastating Up Smash.
Depending how floaty Zelda is her Fair is goig to be a bitch (pun intended) to deal with.
But Wall Clinging and timed dodges seem to be the metagame’s new claim to fame as far as pushing the limits of the game.
wow, pokemon trainer seems to be a good character. Ill main him! (along with lucario if he comes out)
Ike and Lucas actually sound like good characters. Happy about that.
I like Wario with the wall cling.
How does the wall cling work?
Kind of like static cling, but a different number of frames.
Since Mewtwo isn’t in this Lucario or pokemon trainer will be my main.
Nope. I’m sure the game will be lengthy, at least a few hours with lots of replay value.
Pretty much.
The Adventure mode we’re getting this time is pretty much what Sakurai has had in mind for the series since the jump, but never was able to actually make a reality until now. You know damn WELL he’s going to stick his thumb in that mode, just as much as he’s done ever where else in this game.
Adventure mode has me intrigued, especially if multiple path’s open up with different characters. I hope it’s in the way as SoulCal and Tekken (Not gameplay wise) with animated endings and stuff.
