As much as I want to play Brawl, if they make me jump through hoops to play the damn game I will just play it at my friends house. I am just getting tired of Nintendo’s whole deal.
On the Japanese site, there are demos for Earthbound and Fire Emblem. This could mean that we’re getting both games on the VC! We might see them around the time of Brawl’s release, I bet.
There really isn’t any evidence of Nintendo holding back copies of the game. That doesn’t make sense anyway, as it would mean lost sales.
I’m actually not really excited about the demos. I’ve played all those games that I want to, and have them elsewhere. Why would I want to play one minute of Ice Climbers?
But yeah… Bowser better be a lot better than that video showed him to be. I want my RAAWWRR. And he still looked like a combo dummy there.
Its possible that they kept working on the game and finished the master disc much later than expected, which would mean less time to mass produce it. I’m just pulling stuff out of my ass here, but its possible.

If you saw the last press release video (in Japanese) two weeks ago, the more or less “real” reason why the game was delayed was because Sakurai basically worked on fine-tuning this game to the last minute. If a developer wants to get more time to work on a game, and he’s as a valued a commodity like Sakurai, he gets that time.
Of course, that doesn’t really help matters when you’re trying to adhere to a schedule and get copies printed for release…but let’s face it. BRAWL, like it’s predecessor, is basically going to be the best-selling game on the Wii itself. Even a slow start like this won’t put a damper on the parade but so long, and if you were being realistic, you would know this to be true for yourself, as well.

Edit: Damn when will Nintendo ever start meeting the demand BEFORE they release a hyped game/system? Although this could explain why the US got delayed until March, they knew they wouldn’t be ready so they are transferring initial units that were supposed to go here over there.
