It was a stroke of genius to recreate World 1-1 and 1-2 as a new stage for Brawl. At first, I thought it was for the Subspace Emissary mode, but being an actual Smash arena pleases just the same. Apparently, it’s also auto-scrolling, so you can’t just stick around or move forward as you please, but it’s all good.
I wonder if that hidden 1-Up box is still there? You know the one I’m talking about!
Also, in the likely event that the My Music feature doesn’t have certain tunes, do you think that fans will take a page from Guitar Hero and hack the game to include new tracks? It’s probably been discussed already, but it’s still an interesting thought.
% stuff was great, I’m glad the heavy characters have more going for them now than being slow and eating attacks. The addition of shields on certain attacks is great. I wonder if Bowser’s Izuna Drop can still get someone with a shield on, though I would think most people would roll outta it.
He does hang out with his main homie, DK, a lot of the time. Between scarfing down bananas, watermelon and still maintaining an active life-style, I think there’s good enough reason for Diddy to have a bit more meat on his bones than say, Fox.
Even though it does make sense for Fox to be a mid or light weight, but it doesn’t make sense for him to be the lightest character in the game. Seriously though, there are a few characters in the game that you would assume to be lighter than Fox.
Point taken, but I guess they had other ideas in mind. I didn’t expect Ivysaur to be so light either.
At the least, I’m expecting Jiggs to be lighter than them both. And who knows where the likes of Lucario may fall. After all, if they go by the games, Lucario is certainly speedy and can dish out the hits. But he doesn’t necessarily do but so well in taking 'em all the time…he’s weak against one of his own types (Fighting) because of that steel attribute he also has.
Any way, Brawl Central has updated again…now it seems that Diddy can CLING to walls, instead of just hopping between them (which he can also do)! Good grief, this opens up a plethora of new stuff for this game…
Pretty much. With Lucario in P/D, you either had to rely on his high attack power and speed to just sweep the opponent, or you would be better off just holding him off in a more specialized role.
I could easily see them mirroring that kind of aspect for Luke in this game too, basically putting in a similar arena as Fox (though hopefully his Steel attribute would maybe give him some super armor frames for some moves too).
lol @ wall sticking, why squirtle? I guess because he is a ninja turtle.
also lol @ all this info starting to fly in. Just wait till the game actuallygets released in Japan. Brawl is gonna be having dat internets going nuts.
Well, Jigglypuff will probably be the lightest thing still, but besides what surewhyyoucan said, it’s obvious they’ve nerfed the hell out of him. Now that I think it, Sonic maybe as light, though Lucario and Ness will probably be as heavy as Lucas (which is to say, “average”).
(On the other side of the spectrum, I doubt there will be anyone heavier than or as heavy as Bowser.)
They’ve probably nerfed Shiek as well, but Fox is way more obvious since we’ve known he’s been back since the beginning and he’s been in both demos, unlike Shiek who was just re-announced.
I approve of both his heavy nerfs and the lastest update.
That isn’t to say, however, I don’t find the Diddy Kong thing a bit weird as well. I’m also rather surprised that Kirby isn’t as light as Fox (but then again, Kirby is such an anomlous being and acts like a really tiny black hole) or that Ike is/was so much slower than Link despite apparently only being slightly more durable than him.
And the Samus/Zamus situation reminds me of what I learned about SS5V for Charlotte/Unarmed Charlotte yesterday, except that being Zamus also has its advantages.
