This is true. I’m hoping that there may be a possible selection of good Sonic remixes to be had. All it would take is an oustanding remix of Chemical Plant from Sonic 2, in order to make me have to go change my pants each time I play the game.
Circa that E for All demo (which Gimpyfish spent extensive time with), yes, it’s the case. However, the new Lag Cancel is different from anything before.
Now, instead of pressing a button upon landing, you just have to quick fall, and then do your aerial. Upon landing, you’ll have no lag.
Of course, this isn’t to say that they may have gone forth to take out the L cancel after it getting used extensively by pros at E4A. But we can only wait and see. You can bet that I’ll be one of many that will be on the case once the import version is in my hands by the 24th… :wgrin:
Oh I already know how to apply it. It’s just I wantd to know the befits. I don’t even have a wii yet. But I will get a japanese wii for my birthday coming up in early Jan. So I will also have Brawl…You can help me translate just kidding. I already have someone who is gonna help me. Thanks anyhow 4 the reply.
Bah, more complaining. I’m liking that we’re actually getting interesting updates, especially after “Novembust”.
Besides, if nothing else, the main thing to take from this update is that a sort of “Boss Rush” mode is confirmed, taken from this quote: “I?ll make it so you?ll somehow be allowed to fight the bosses even after you?ve already cleared the game, so it?s OK if you don?t hunt all these trophies down in the first battle.”
Whether you want to subscribe to this game’s “Pokemon” aspect or not, that’s gotta be appealing. Especially if the case may be that there may be a number of chars who don’t have a role in SSE, or if you want to try a particular boss with a different character that SSE mode wouldn’t normally permit.
Boss Rush and you can still fight Rayquaza as a boss? Awesome.
I also actually like the “turn bad guys into trophies” idea. Wonder if any of the villains will have any means of turning you into a trophy while you’re in control. But either way, payback is a bitch.
Kirby: “That’s for turning Zelda into a chess piece, you bastards! >8[”
(Because we all know that Kirby is secretly a right asshole who shows no respect or remorse for anyone. Just look at Kirby’s Avalanche.)
The beat’em up mode looking like it will be the shit. Me and my boys gonna be get our battletoads on lol. Who else on SRK setting it on very hard as soon as you get it?
Me, Moose, and probably Rioting Soul are probably gonna run through the adventure mode on very hard as soon as we get it…good thing i kept all my gc controllers =D…Word to the wise…if you guys want to play on classic controllers or what not…I suggest getting them as soon as possible before this game hits stores. That or hunt for GC controllers…
For such a minor update, the trophy stand thing is at once both nice and somewhat annoying (and no, not in the “lame” update thing). It seems like it would best to do with two player, but I don’t really have anyone to play it consistently with.
Fuck.
Anyway, this also confirms that Rayquaza doesn’t go down so easily. It’d be funny if it just fought you with a Standard Rayquaza set from D/P.
Rayquaza used Swords Dance!
Rayquaza’s Attack was raised sharply!
Fox used Taunt!
Diddy Kong used Follow Me!
Diddy Kong: …Wait. What?! You said were going to use Reflect again! You motherf—.
Rayquaza used Extremespeed on Diddy Kong!
It’s Super Effective (…somehow).
Diddy Kong fainted!
Fox used Reflect!
A barrier was formed!
I dunno why, but I LOL’d quite a bit at this comment.
Come to think of it, since PT’s Final Smash does have the PKMN-style text box effect appear, it would be kind of funny if PT would have specific effects for when he was fighting any of the other PKMN.
Or…maybe they could just give him an extended taunt sequence, like Fox and Falco could do on the StarFox levels.
He went and basically threw a 2D, vertical shmup mini game into this game. A game, which already has a dedicated 2.5D platformer, arcade mode, event mode and pretty much everything else…complete with co-op!
Good grief…I think it’s safe to say that the Soul Calibur series has had its crown taken away of “how much good stuff we can throw into one game”. Sakurai really DID think of everything…
