also, a blocked skrull smash (jumping d.H) is pretty hard to punish because skrull hops backward after the hit, but i don’t think it’s safe on block. i just almost never get punished for it, for some reason :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s a tiger knee motion meaning you you input the move and jump in the same motion then press the buttons soon after so you’d be doing an inferno right off the ground. I believe someone has a demonstration on it somewhere, but for now I’ll show you mine.

Rolling Hook is like -4 I think so it’s pretty safe.

Out of curiousity, when is the guide coming out Nasty? This meteor smash pickup thing is killing me… Anyways, keep up the good work and I look forward to the guide.

It is safe because it pushes the opponent back. A point blank rolling hook pushes opponent 1/2 screen away and full screen rolling hook pushes them full screen. It’s only really unsafe ON BLOCK if they are at or real close to the corner. And if they duck under it like you said, then it wasn’t blocked so that -4 doesn’t matter.

Hawkeye didn’t block it guy. The move is -4 ON BLOCK. If you crouch under it then it’s a whiffed attack, not a blocked attack. It has like 24 frames of recovery so if you whiff, as this guy did, it’s extremely punishable.

im not talking about if its blocked… I said if its -4 on block then its alot more if they duck under it(if it wiffs), I think because it has 24 frames of startup, it is easy to duck under or avoid

an alternative way to do rolling hook is f,f,d/f+C or d/f,d/f,d/f+C or any combination of forward and downforward inputs. the benefit of d/f inputs is that you’ll remain in place when doing them.

I really wish the input for rolling hook was something different. I have trouble doing it on the 2P side :rofl:

Is there a trick to canceling j.s into M Meteor smash in the longer combos? It feels like you have to link it after j.s recovers so I’m having trouble getting the timing down.

Edit: Getting a little better at it with more practice, still feels odd though. I’m trying to do the first combo in the skrull 2.0 guide at around 8 minutes. I am having trouble getting the last j.s to connect sometimes. I am launching them as close to the ground as I can from the stone smite, but sometimes it seems like I can’t hit them with j.s fast enough before the opponent can flip out. Watching Nasty’s video he does the s to j.s very fast but I can only get it to work like that maybe 1/3rd of the time. Even when it does work, I’m not sure why so I can replicate it.

^ it’s a bit tricky, I sometimes have them flip out before the last j.S as well if the combos been going for a while. One thing that helps is after the stone smite wait as late as you can to hit the s.S so that you have extra time to super jump and connect the j.S. The j.S almost has to be hit immediately after super jumping. Hope that helps.

The lower the character is to the ground before launching them the better the timing you have to hit them in the air. That’s the only thing I can say to help with that timing.

Anybody found any TAC infinites with Skrull? I’ve heard nothing on this front.

He has a tiny loop you can do that lets you juggle one rep, and the infinite require tenderizer which I’m never gonna demonstrate because it’s wayyyy too hard.

I think this was the one Vidness showed me a while back, and how I didn’t realize to cancel to uncharged Flame Sweep(Cr. H) after double Stone Smite.

Paulo showed me that. I just kind of added in the extra S jHS into his combo to get this. Possible to hit 1 mil?

Of course he could have cancelled into a special of some sort ftw…
