Super SFIV Arcade - Akuma Changes

Wasn’t cammy able to punish akuma’s teleport with that (nearly) unblockable setup found out by Alioune? From looking at the vids, i didn’t think that U2 hitting low would fix that problem.

A video linked through eventhubs showing visual evidence of things that had changed had footage of Cammy OS Spiral Arrowing a teleport where Akumas Ultra II hit her out of it. I don’t know whether or not the change will stop her backfist beating it though.

Yeah, i was talking about the backfist one because it surprised me that i defeated ultra 2 with its pretty large amount of invulnerable frames.

U2 is whiffing on Cammy because she is ducked so low during the back fist. You can see the kick going way over her head. With the U2 altered to hit low during teleport she should get hit there.

Which is why if you telexxU2 you have to delay that u2 to last possible moment to catch her hitbox.

unless you get her dead early as she’s starting her little “hop” thingy

I think that now in AE you would just have to wait for the start up invincible frames to pass. That is assuming that U2 hits low out of a teleport as previously reported.

Why ‘assuming’? I thought it was already confirmed that it did?

Hasn’t been thoroughly tested, thus any theoretical uses is an assumption.

If it hits Cammy out of U1, idk how much lower you can get than that

Akuma is still boss, though I expect more teleportation out of him due to no escape tatsu, but it may work to his benefit, I imagine that air tatsu -> DP will be much easier to manage, if it allows him to descend faster, probably even give us a half circle hadouken off of the tatsu, then let the mixups continue off that knockdown.

With the bigger hit box, do you think AA lk Air Tatsu into tele xx U2 might be more consistent? As it stands its really akward scenarios where AA Tatsu into U2 works (you have to practically be lower in your jumpthan them, AA Tatsu late and then U2 as they float down)

The whole idea of Akuma being himself is that he’s fast. It would make no sense to lower his walking speed. With his health being lower than most of the cast, this Demon has got to be nimble on his feet. FADC into Ultra 2 would be just great and a good addition considering most of the characters have one and considering they’re nerfing him every version, I’d say it would please the players for Capcom to give us at least that.

Why would everyone want SRK FADC U2? Am I the only person who plays Akuma because he doesn’t have a herp derp playstyle and Ultra combo?
