But didn’t Ken’s lp DP (I’m pretty sure his MP & HP too) already had grounded frames after the invincibility frames runs out in SSFIV? DF dive kicks can stuff the lp DP clean and land a full combo if spaced properly (which’s pretty lenient), I just hope his LP DP’s invincibility wasn’t increased in AE to allow more trades for Ken, that would be stupid, but it’s Capcom so you never know lol.

Nah I don’t think after double dashing it would be necessary to step forward more to setup the x-up tatsu, check the video Four Wude posted, he did the x-up tatsu on Adon from pretty far a few times, at 27:08 he did forward throw x 2 dashes > x-up tatsu and I didn’t notice him taking any further steps after the 2nd dash.
If the distance Adon falls after Akuma’s forward throw in AE is the same as it is in SSFIV, I think the x-up tatsu will do it’s job just fine vs everyone in AE (some characters fall in different ranges, Hakan for example is within sweep range after forward throw x 2 dashes, Dee Jay falls pretty far away from sweep range after the 2nd dash which is why you have to step a bit forward to setup the x-up tatsu properly, Ryu falls right outside of Akuma’s sweep range, Adon seems to fall like Ryu or a tiny bit further away).
we have tokido playing SSF4AE 24/7 and he’s updating his blog every day…AE has been out for a week, i think he probably tried and it didn’t work…else he would have written it on his blog.
Juggle system wise Ultra 2 doesn’t have Juggle Potential, and Akuma’s SRK doesn’t create any float effect compared to LK tatsu and air tatsu. Unless he gained something like Ken’s counter fierce shoryu float state.
Somebody needs to test teleport U2 after LK-tatsu !
Talking to some people about AE the other day and someone mentions Akumas walkspeed WAS nerfed. Unfortunately I cant comment since I have yet to play AE.
he did look a touch slower to me, but it’s hard to tell since ppl barely walk… it’s all hops and walking kicks.
besides someone woulda picked up on that by now if he was slower
I think it’s safe to say if Akuma’s walkspeed was nerfed Tokido would have said something about it by now, the guy’s footsies is amazing and would have definitely noticed if Akuma’s walkspeed was altered.
