I’d like to see more utility from qcf+s. At the moment all I use it for it holding myself at super jump height. And more durability on his fireballs. More so his Baku one since it requires the charge time. I agree with the axe kick OTG idea and it would jump Ryu’s game a ton.
Umm Hello again I was wonder if anyone would be able to help me with linking two Denjin Tatsu supers together in a combo?
What’s giving you a hard time on that?
I can’t seem to figure out how to determine which side my opponent will fall to. If they fly across the screen I have no way of keeping a combo going. I know the dp timing if they fall into the corner is strict but that is fine. Also I was hoping there was maybe an assist to really help Denjin Ryu to get max damage. To my knowledge linking the two Tatsu supers in Denjin is the most damaging 1 bar super link.
I still dont know what makes the opponent fall to a specific side.
I think it has to do with the hurtbox, like wich side the opponent was after the last hit…
Anyone have better ideas?

I had this thoery about that. I noticed a couple times that depending on how many hits you do before you do the super, they may fall on the same side. I think you might have to be over 100 hits in order to keep them on the same side. But like I said, it’s just a thoery.
I tested your theory and it also isn’t right. I did a combo (103 hits), and kept get different sides. Regardless of height.
It depends on the character and what dp you do. So the hieght etc. Anyway there really shouldnt be any randomness to it other than that, because its not a combo you do off just say someone jumping at you(which might give you a slightly diff distance), its a set combo, so there should be no randomness to it that i ever noticed when I made all the videos.
I just figured that out last weekend. It’s dependent on the character and their height. Other then that it is all set. It makes the combo tricker to do but it is do able.
What do you guys think is the best ryu centered team?
I am still trying to figure that out as well. I’m a fan of Ryu backed by Mystic Ray. I can’t think of another assist that really suits my place style. I love using Denjin mode. I think it’s fun to play with.

I don’t own the DLC packs, so you really got me interested: Can you convert off air throws with Ryu and Mystic Ray? That is essential IMHO for a good Ryu team.
You can off a front air throw if you call it before you throw but not the back throw. I love MR because it covers a lot of what I see as Ryu’s weaknesses. A anti air to stop flight characters from dancing above you. I know you can’t convert it into a combo but I find just sniping the character can discourage flying. It’s a slow forward assist giving Ryu a chance to move it while having the durability to help him clear fireballs in front of his approach. Also it clears Doom’s missiles assist so you can’t be locked into a corner. It can extend combo if I need it to as well.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a great assist for Denjin mode combos? I feel Denjin mode is a great boost for Ryu and I use it in almost all of my matches since it’s amazing for keeping up pressure. I was hoping for an assist to maximize damage, make an easy reset or something like that. I can’t believe how underused this is and I only ever see Brian Kasugano use it in a match.
